That may seem convoluted, but just read this article :

I was impressed by this article. I'd never imagine that games would save someone's childhood.

To be honest...my parents divorced and I spent a lot of my childhood into video games too.
That and the Disney classics comics...

(as I said previously I never really watched the DA shows back then, so I'm catching up now

I was also impressed; although there is really nothing that video games (among others things like comics, etc.) can not save :D

Nothing against the game, but I think it's kind of sad that it came to that. Not only because teh parents didn't get some decent counseling, but because it's better to do more than escape. I actually got a lot out of my parents' divorce. I wish it had never happened, but it motivated me to take life seriously, to be the kind of man who wouldn't do that sort of thing. Now I screen prospective girlfriends very carefully, and write stories aimed at showing the value of family and cooperation. Instead of escaping the world, I'm striving to make it a better place.

I'm not saying this person shouldn't have found a way to alleviate the stress, but it's sad to see a kid raised by video games, even good ones. As the captain in WALL-E put it, "I don't want to survive! I want to live."
