Like a character with real input in it, meaning it's not something that their owner slopped together, really long and detailed, for the advanced.

No, I think that the rules are fine. I wouldn't like that the wolves and animals would be rainbow colored.
I like things the way they are.

I think some rules should be relaxed, however sparkledogs should still be banned.

I won't hide that there is a lot of work involved, so don't expect it to be done right now. (interface changes for every section : displaying and sending, new "search engines", new interfaces for admins, rules changes, etc...)

Keep going with the categories suggestions. If you can see more categories that weren't listed, tell us. This will be very important to have the most suitable categories.

EDIT : For fanarts and images, we can also add :

- Static (still image)
- Animated

I'd offer more image category ideas, but this seems to have it pretty well covered already. And I like the static/animated idea. Good for those with slower servers and such.

Very good ideas from steet here. At least these proposed fan character changes will make it a lesser workload on mods.

Or just if you want to search for animations only.

Other might-be-interesting categories :
- Includes a drawn background (yes/no) (yes, I kinda like when there are backgrounds in fanarts)

That will be a lot to ask to the visitors for each drawing, but I'll make sure to make an interface to choose categories easily.

Yes, allowing sparkledogs would encourage people to post only sparkledogs, and cause people to think this was 'Sparkledog Source' not Balto Source. I think Characters should have a relation to Balto.

Not if a particular setting were necessary in order to see sparkledog pictures.
