Personality: Usually cool, calm, and collected. She loves playing around, and she usually tries to goof off while she can. Ari is extremely smart and logical, and she loves riddles and puzzles. When you first meet her, she is shy and barely talks, but after she gets to know you, she is willing to talk about some things. She usually hides her true self from the world, but she will only be herself to her closest friends. She loves being herself, and Ari is full of energy and is fun to be around.

How they feel about Toska: Ari likes Toska as her friend, and she hopes they can become best friends. She usually is the one Toska drags into her wild antics and her curiosity. Ari likes to be around Toska, and she loves to go play around with Toska too.

Extra Info: Ari is based around me, she’s kind of like me when I’m in a good mood. She has some of my likes/dislikes, and Ari has one of my fears (needles) and my teacher’s son’s fears (seeing his own blood).

How they met Toska: Ari met Toska while she was out visiting, and she walked up to her. Ari was shy to talk to Toska at first, but soon the small talk became conversations. Ari usually met with Toska and talked to her, and she eventually found out that Toska had a sled team. Ari was extremely excited and decided to try and join Toska’s team. She would train for hours every day, and Ari usually ran free-run races against other dogs.

History: Ari was born in a puppy mill, and she was rescued while she was still being weaned by her mother. Her mother tried to be brought back to health so she could feed the pups, but she died a few days after. Ari and her siblings were taken care of by the vets there, and they were given multiple antibiotics and shots. Ari usually tried to ran away from the vets when she had to take a shot, and she was usually frightened when she had to take a shot. She was eventually adopted by a man who put her in a sled team as a wheel dog, but she didn’t do well and was given to the man’s daughter as a birthday present (since he forgot it was her birthday, lol). The girl named Ari the name ‘Sara’, and she spoiled Ari. Ari would not tolerate being spoiled, and she usually didn’t do things she would consider ‘spoiling’. Ari would usually walk/run around town to meet other dogs, and she would visit her siblings.

Yes, Gunner and her siblings were born about the same time as Balto's first litter. The fanfic will take place around when Gunner is about 2.5/3 years old.

I've actually had him for quite some time, but originally he was a basenji (x I'd like to give him some sort of identity before I add him to the character pages.

Name:Moscow

Age:3 1/2 years

Gender:Male

Breed:East Siberian Laika

Likes:Being on time for everything, being trusted and wanted, attention from humans, being in power,food (as pretty much all dogs do), running in rain and snow, cold weather in general, running around, burning his energy.

Dislikes:Being cooped up, being late, others treating him like he's nothing, puppies, human children, hot weather, summer.

Fears:Death, losing authority, not being able to run around when he's older.

Personality:Moscow is a carm, collected guy. He is good at coping with change and is very good at solving other's problems. He is usually very intelligent, but sometimes he acts before he thinks about the consiquences. Moscow is also very enerjetic. He has a lot of energy, and tends to tire his owner out a lot. He hates being inside for long periods as he is true out-door sort of dog. He's incredibly fast and sometimes uses this to his advantage.

How they feel about Toska:Although he deeply wishes he could be lead dog, he has full respect for Toska. He likes having her as a leader and likes the fact she isn't girly and fake. However, he is a bit quiet around her, as before he really joined the sled team he mistook her for a male, and thinks she could use it against him in any argument that should happen in future.

How they met Toska: Moscow met Toska along the race track. His owner was actually trying to find him a team to get him trained into as he was fed up with having him ruin the furniture because he was bored. Moscow's owner started talking to Toska's owner, who had a couple of spaces left to fill up the team. While they were talking, Moscow was walking around, checking the other dogs teams that were getting ready, he bumped into an average sized red and white wolf-dog. The wolf-dog turned around and told him to look where he was going. Without even thinking he replied "No stranger is gonna tell me to look where I'm going! I actually have excellent eye-sight for your information, mister." The wolf-dog just smirked and said "Yeah, I'm a male dog, wise guy..." and she walked off. Moscow was so embarassed, and he felt even worse when he found out he may be part of her team in the near future. When he got to training he felt very nervous. However, the female, who was infact called Toska, didn't mention it at all, and Moscow seemed to settle in well, and was good in training. He quite liked Toska really, and she's probably the only female he truely respects.

Extra Info: He doesn't really like females at all. He finds then quite annoying. However, he does have some sort of feelings for Toska (however, he doesn't fully understands these feelings and think nothing of it.) He is called Moscow because his owner was born, and grew up in Moscow, but later moved to Nome.

Likes: being Korean, South Korea, his master’s wife, being out of the pit, and peace

Dislikes: North Korea, the Soviets, his master, fighting in the pit, and chaos

Fears: his own death, losing his friends, having to be in another war, being sent back to North Korea again, drowning, and the pit

Personality: Young is extremely loyal and gentle, and he trusts very few people. Since Young has had to been re-homed about 5 times, he usually doesn’t trust his owner(s) that much. Young is very active, and he is very courageous. He also loves attention, which he gets from fighting other dogs and his master’s wife. Young is very intelligent, and he usually figures out his own problems by himself. He can easily tell who his friends are and who his enemies are, and he usually tries to intimidate his enemies. But while in the pit, Young walks around with the air of a professional fighting dog. During this time, he can become very snappy and violent if provoked. He usually doesn’t like to fight, and he prefers not to fight at all. But Young does it for his master. Everything Young does is either for his master or his master’s wife. It’s a bad habit of his, but he likes to tease people, then he’ll say something smart to get out of trouble when he does tease someone. (E.g. Complements, flirting (rarely), and changing subject)

History: Young was born being the only male in his litter, and he was born in South Korea. He was picked up by a Korean couple who took him in as their pet, and they flew to North Korea for vacation when Young was a few months old. After a few months of staying there, men burst through the door and came inside. They yelled to his owners that Young would have to be taken away from them to be trained as an army dog, and they desperately needed it. The couple let the men have Young, and the men took him to train at the camp. They prepared him for man-to-animal combat and dog-to-dog combat. They put a tag on him and named him ‘Yong’, which meant ‘courage’ since he was the most courageous of all of the dogs. After about a year, the Japanese forces sent Young to go help out in the Russo-Japanese War. Young attacked those who were foes, and he fought for a couple of weeks. Young was called back to camp, and he was brought back to the camp. There, they received a letter to where the Soviets threatened that if they didn’t ship their dogs somewhere else, Soviet Russia would bomb them. The leader decided to listen to their orders, their men were more important than a bunch of dogs. The Japanese men took them all to the airport, and they shipped them off to different locations with different baggage. Young was sent all the way to a cold place, and he wasn’t used to the climate there. He was sold to a man who was extremely rich, and he had a bunch of dogs. Young greeted them all with a happy face, but they all growled at him and told him to go away. He was often beat up by the other dogs, but some of them would be kind to Young. Young, after turning 2 and ¾, was introduced to the pit. He was trained by some of the best training dogs, and his ‘chew toys’ were often weak.

How they met Gunner: While training in the pit, Young met Gunner. He was put in a cage next to Gunner, and he introduced himself to her. He was probably one of the only dogs to recognize that Gunner was a female, and after he introduced himself to make a new ‘friend’, Gunner heeded no attention to Young. Young, confused but still trying, told Gunner a bit about himself. Gunner, getting used to the dog now talking to her, often responded with short sentences. Young became happy and openly talked with her, and he talked to her until Gunner was led out of her cage to fight a different dog.

How they feel about Gunner: Young quite likes Gunner, and he does hold a crush on her. But he doesn’t try anything, Young knows better than to flirt with a fighting dog, especially Gunner. Young will usually talk to her when he can, and he’ll slightly give her a few hints and tips about fighting another dog. Young feels like a sort of father-figure to her, but he would never tell her that. Young sees Gunner’s personality as a result of something that happened in the past, and he usually tries to stay away from Gunner when she’s in a bad mood.

Extra Info: Yes, Young is Korean. He is very proud of it too. He knows how to speak Korean, and generally talks in Korean if frightened, angry, or fighting. His master will direct Young while he is fighting in Korean, and they both win a lot of fights because of it. Young will not take food from anyone unless it is his master’s wife, and Young has grown really attached to her.
Young also has this day when he will do nothing. Young and his few friends call it his ‘lonely day’. This usually has Young doing completely nothing; he will not eat, move, or speak for that whole day. His face will show either boredom or blankness, and he usually looks depressed. Young will usually have suicidal thoughts on this day, but he will not do anything about it. He usually will think about his family, friends, and a lot of ‘what if’s. At the end of this day, he will have a smile on his face, and Young will fall asleep.

Age: 3 years

Gender: Female

Breed: Northern Inuit Dog

Likes: Friends! And pretty much anything that has to do with being around others. She also, like many other team members, enjoys running. She likes clear, cool nights when she can see the stars, and she LOVES snow. Although she has seen it all her life, it still fascinates her.

Dislikes: Others who are disrespectful, flirty males, know-it-all's, depressed dogs

Fears: Afraid of death, and being alone

Personality: Rayen's personality is somewhat simple: she loves being around others, and values friendship more than anything else in the world. She is constantly surrounding herself with others to make herself feel as loved as possible. Although, she didn't always used to be so dependent on attention. It wasn't until after her father, Hinto, left that she began to act this way. Most teasing wouldn't even phase her, and she isn't afraid to stand up for herself, but she hates putting others out of their way to help her. She's always flitting about, asking others what she can do for them. She always needs friends to lean on in case something or someone should get her down, but she's usually quick to get over things, even when others are not. She has some abandonment issues due to her mother's and father's absence, but other than that, she's pretty much just a cheerful lump of fur.... well, most of the time anyway.

Like most others, Rayen has another side of her. The side that is commonly recognized by when a character "snaps". It takes alot to provoke Rayen, but once she has been pushed over the line, she will make you wish you had never met her. Once she has been angered enough to snap, she will fall into, what seems like, a blind rage. She will attack her offender mercilessly until someone stops her. It is a scary sight to see, and it has only happened once before in her life. An alley dog had been bothering her the past few days, but she had ignored it, until one day they brought her father into it. They said obscene things about him in front of her, then crossed the line when they actually sought him out and attacked him. Rayen was overcome with uncontrollable anger, and she killed one of the dogs, while seriously injuring another. Her friends had to pull her away and snap her out of it before she hurt anyone else. But as I said, this hardly ever happens, and she always regrets it afterwards. After the incident with the dogs, she disappeared and wasn't seen for weeks. She didn't return to town until she felt she could handle life again.

Yeahh... she has some issues. Just like me!

How they feel about Toska: Rayen is very close to Toska, and thinks of her as a sister. Despite their close relationship, however, Ray still respects her as her leader and even views her as a model ofsorts. She looks up to Toska, as both her "commander" and a sort of older sister.

Ideal Position: Swing 1

Extra Info: (this is a short summary of her history) Rayen was born and raised in Nome, and her mother left shortly after the pup was weaned. Her father was a sled dog and trained her to be the same. They had a very close relationship and she learned from him quickly. It wasn't long after she completed her training that her father informed her that he was leaving, to go find his sister. Rayen was heartbroken, but she understood his motives. She was about one and a half then, and once her father left she began a life of her own. She took to the life of a street dog and learned whatever she could from the world. She was about two years old when she met Toska, and she was introduced to the sled team of Nome. After getting to know her better, Toska explained that the sled team needed more members, and Ray was welcome to try for one of the spots. Taking her up on her offer, she decided to join the sled team, and (hopefully, if Rayen wins) became the Swing Dog. Toska and Rayen became quick friends after that, and... that's pretty much it xD I can change anything in here if I need to.

Age: About 3-4?

Gender: Male

Breed: Blue Pit Bull

Likes: Being free, little kids, fire places, long walks, playing with others, helping.

Dislikes: Fighting and blood

Fears: Being killed or killing somone.

Personality: Caspian is a wonderful dog. Unlike most of the pit bull breeds that get aggressive after abusing, he didn't. He couldn't be even sweeter. The only time he gets in an agressive mood is when he is "grumpy", and that rarely happens. When he is "grumpy" he wants to be left a lone and not talked to. If you come near him he will snap. When he is in his normal mood he is wonderful! He is super nice to the ladies and nice to everyone else too! When he is in a pen at dog fights, he tries to convince the other dogs to run away and live a care-free life away from all the innocent blood. He tells them how it is to be free and everything. Most don't take it, and die at the fights. But the ones that do end up running by Caspian and telling him thank you.

How they met Gunner: Caspian met Gunner when he tried telling how it feels like to be free and not being a blood thirsty animal.

How they feel about Gunner: He feels bad for the girl. He tries to convince her the most, seeing how blood thirsty she is. He thinks he could help her.

Extra Info: Caspians owner is very abusive to him. Caspian tries not to show is fear of humans. He was once free for about a year, then this man found him. Caspian misses his home with his mother and siblings, but can never suceed at escaping. The other dogs always start a riot when he tries to.
