Um...Then look what you've done bad or if it's still doesn't work then search for another version of GIMP.

Steet, I think we can offer everyone a less crudy and complex solution.

Many are used to Gimp, but it is much harder and inefficient than Photoshop, without mentioning it crashes sometimes, and has a very hard layout. I have tried it and it is 1000 miles away from the perfection Photoshop can give you, its quality is very low as well. However, Paint.NET is an identical clone of Photoshop, same quality, layout, easy to learn functions, etc. It is free and legal, yet it is, on its core, the classic Photoshop CSII, so if you don't want to conform with GIMP, but still want Photoshop only, you can download it. It is just like a free version of Photoshop.

Steet I use this program and I'm glad people are getting to know about it through this topic. Also,GIMP is pretty much the same as photoshop except for a few things. I can see why people would want to download it,because of this topic.

I've downloaded GIMP onto my computer. But might I say, if you never used Photoshop, it's going to be tough at first. I'm having trouble.

Can anyone answer the question:

Why can't I draw outside of the eclipse circle?

It's driving me nuts. Will someone please tell me why?

Oh. I think I figured it out.

I might just use the free program I have. It came with the computer.

It works by pixels but it's easier to figure out.

My computer wont let me download any of these. It says something about a virus that can harm my computer. Are there any other editing programs similar to photoshop that are free and safe?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but yes, I forgot about Paint.NET (never tried it myself) One difference though, is that Paint.NET only runs on Windows (shouldn't be a problem for most people though...)
I'm going to add it to the list.

Metal Head Pup- It's probably because it saved as a GIMP file (.xcf) when you save your image, you have to save it to .jpg or .png (I strongly recommend PNG). I hope this helps. If you don't know how to do this, look down the bottom of the "save" screen and it will say "select file type by extension" you click on the + sign next to that and it will open up some options. Scroll down until you find .png.

Hope this helps.

On another note, I downloaded Gimp about a week or so ago, and am loving it XD it has so many tools and I love them all.
