At the end of TLK 1 the hyenas leap on Scar and the fire consumes them and the fire goes out like 3 seconds later. It takes quite a long time for a body to be burned to ashes. So what do you think they did with the body? Did they leave it to rot and decompose or what?

Considering the land was suffering a famine, the body was probably eaten by (at least) the hyenas.

Animals tend to scatter the bones, chew on it and stuff. If not I doubt Simba would want the body there where he has his family.

It is implied that the hyena's ate Scar, I think the only thing left would be his bones, which maybe the hyena's took with them (if they lived through the fire)

Is it implied they did in the second movie? I can't remember.

You mean that they ate him? Well, the hyena's were starving and Ed seemed ready to chow down when Scar was tossed off Pride Rock.

Thinking back, I think somewhere in the second movie Nuka or Vitani say the hyena's ran off, so that probably means they still ate Scar either way.

Oh well both them and Scar were consumed in flames, and the Elephant Graveyard is empty in the second movie. "Ran off" could mean the lions all believe that some of the hyena's survived and ran away in search for more food or just to get away from the lions in general or that the hyena's managed to survive despite all the fire.

Ah, it's been ages since I've seen Lion king 2, but yeah I vaguely recall them saying something about the hyenas. It'd be cool if we could ask the writer's of the second movie their take on the status of the hyenas.

I think That Scar was Eaten and The Hyenas Ran off. It was Confirmed that The Hyenas ran off in the Second Movie.

Shouldn't this be in the Lion King 1 section? Anyways, as far as I'm aware there is no official source that explains what became of Scar or the hyenas after he was killed. However, I don't believe that they ate Scar. While it looks like they may have wanted to eat him at the end of the film, it looked like flame engulfs them as well.

But to the those who keep saying the hyenas ran off, you have to remember that Pride Rock was full of hyenas when Scar was king. So that just doesn't mean Ed, Shenzi and Bonza.

I don't believe neither Scar's body or hyenas were comsumed by flames. Remember it started to rain right after Scar was defeated.
It was shown that hyenas finished Scar. They are scavengers. I think they ate his body as well.

Wasn't the fires used to cut away from the attack on scar? I don't ever recall the fire ever actually consuming him and the Hyenas.

It has probably been burnt to ashes by now with maybe some bone leftovers. He died about 22 years ago so.... Yeah..... That's my personal opinion... Or Zira could have buried him.
