Which Character In Balto III: Wings of Change is your least favorite?
My least favorite(s) are Mel and Dipsy. They could've taken more time on the characters, especially their designs, looks, and etc. The animation in WoC was horrible, though and that's probably why Mel and Dipsy looked as terrible as heck (their attitudes as unrealistic as heck, too) I'm more okay with Dipsy than I am with Mel. Mel just irritates me more than Dipsy. Are there any other characters I have problems with? Not that I can think of, well, I do sort of have just a tiny, little problem with the animation they did with Kirby. God, they didn't spend much time working on the movie at all.
So, which character(s) are your least favorites?
EDIT: I'VE ADDED 'OTHER AS AN OPTION.
NOTE (TO MODS): IF THERE'S ANOTHER TOPIC LIKE THIS, PLEASE LOCK IT. THANK YOU.

Hey welcome to the site Windbreeze! Can I just say that I LOVE your avatar. ;D To be honest, there aren't many characters in this film I particularly enjoy. Like you said, they clearly didn't put much time or effort into it, so the characters are very forgettable. I don't MIND Kodi, but he bores me. Mel and Dipsy ARE pretty terrible.. they're not funny whatsoever and they don't add anything to the story. Stella's alright but she took up way too much screen time, although the idea of Boris bagging a sexy young girlfriend is pretty freaking hilarious. One must wonder what she saw in him Boris is awesome but.. she made him sound like some freaking stud, haha. Kirby was.. okay. Dusty was... okay -- although I did enjoy her voice. Ralph was freaking adorable. :3 Balto was.. okay. I did enjoy a lot of his lines in the movie though, I have to admit.. his whole "dreaming of flying" thing is pretty cliche and overall cheesy. I liked that Jenna had a bigger role than she did in WQ, and it was nice seeing her interact with her child for once. It was also nice seeing her interact with Balto and being his voice of reason and hope as she is supposed to be, and her song was nice. But after that.. she kind of lost her importance. Until she lectured Kodi. "I should've gone with Balto" - yeah, you said that just a LITTLE late, hun. I agree, she SHOULD'VE gone with Balto. Why did the creators insist on forcing the bears to be important? And did we really NEED more Stella? Come on, it would've been a lot better if she had gone with him. All-in-all.. there weren't any characters I HATED, but there weren't any I particularly liked either.. besides Ralph. Like Wolf Quest, they didn't do a particularly splendid job with their characters.. a lot of them were too annoying, bland, or just plain forgettable.

Man I hate Kodi! He's soo obsessed with his Job to the max! I hate it! He's just more whiny than Aleu (the fact I like Aleu)!

I particularly like the idea of this topic. I'd say I most dislike Stella, I don't hate her. I don't hate any of the characters from any of the films. Boris really did NOT need her at all. If they were going to give Boris a girlfriend, why didn't they make her at least more to his type? In my opinion, she was nothing like him. I found her pretty annoying, and she got too much screen time for me.
I must disagree with Leafeon here. I didn't like nor dislike Kodi. I liked the fact that after a while, Jenna helped him realise that his Job wasn't just what was important, but a life is more important than a job. And wasn't Kodi the one who confronted the team to go and rescue Duke and help his father? Kodi refused to Balto at first, but his mother helped him realise what was right to do.
I quite liked the mail team, although I didn't much take a liking to Dusty at first. I think the mail team should have showed a little more personal sides to themselves, if the animators had gave them that time to do so, instead of all the "Stella" screen time, maybe we could see more of who likes and dislikes who, and more of their personalities. Then we could get a finger on all these Kodi X Dusty pairings, Ralph X Dusty, Kirby X Dusty. Poor Dusty, as the only girl in the team, she did get a lot of attention xD.
So, I'd say my least favourite character was Stella. I didn't hate her, but I nowhere near liked her. I tried my best to ignore her during the film, but it was pretty impossible. I've got to say, the animation was not good at all either, and that let the film down too.

Okay, definitely not trying to foment an argument here, or be insensitive, but I would like to reply to the last post (above)... Celtic Kate wrote: 1.Stella,she just wasn't right for Boris. I rather thought it was nice to see Boris getting a little romantic attention for a change. And unlike several fans who hate Stella just because she has a pronounced bosom, I have no issues with her other than when she broke into song. But then, I hated EVERY. SINGLE. INSTANCE. when ANY character broke into song during the trilogy. Celtic Kate wrote: 2.Dipsy,she was just too much of a female chow hound. Place a bag loaded with beef jerky (or most other foods with strong odors) down on the floor within the scenting range of any dog, and dollars to donuts it's going to make the fastest beeline for that bag you ever saw, and gorge. Not really seeing the issue here. Dogs, given half a chance, are gluttons...it's instinct. All too common for most animals...and most humans. Celtic Kate wrote: 3.Mel,he was too much of a fussbudget. He's a terrier. Terriers are known for excitable, touchy and fussy behavior in the real world (especially Airdales and Welsh Terriers. And since Mel is probably too small to be an Airdale, he's probably a Welsh Terrier). Why not in animation?

I would probably have to go with Stella on this one, mainly personality wise. I did, perhaps, learn to tolerate what she said and did but I just couldn't stand her during her first few appearances in the film.

First: Stella. I really don't think that this third Balto movie needed a romantic twist to it. It is a little off topic with the main plot; to save the sled team from getting replaced by the airplane. Also, Stella's singing isn't horrible, but it doesn't fit in with the movie. Plus, Boris himself is too old to have a young mate like Stella. Then at the end, I feel like Stella 's personality changed. From being this crazy lover to a more calm/milder manner. Other than Stella 's singing and her lovestruck attitude towards Boris, she's an ok character.
Ever noticed that Balto 2 and 3 had singing characters in them? I honestly don't think the singing part of the movie is bad or anything, but I'm not a big fan of them.
Second and third: Well, I"m okay with the rest of the characters. Plus, I can't think of any.

How is that a problem? B. When did they ever specify Boris' age? Just because he SOUNDS older does not mean the character is geriatric. The actors who played him were both middle aged at the time...not old. C. By the end of the movie, Stella has settled into her romantic attachment to Boris. There actually is no change in her personality...there is simply acceptance and the next step in the romantic attachment. Kodi_Lennon wrote: Ever noticed that Balto 3 is the only movie with singing characters? I feel like Balto 3 is part musical and part adventure movie. No. Because Balto 2 has songs sung by a few characters.
