I think that would of been a better scene than when Zira accepted Kiara's help........Oh, how I wish Disney would come out with some movies that are intened for teens too. No, really I do.....

Oh wow I did'nt know that was cut out! Reminds me of the news I heard where these kids were getting ready to watch Chicken Little and when the projector turned on, it showed a boy killing himself or something along the lines of that.

So maybe showing Zira seal her fate would'nt have been too bad...

Werid, but good, Gosh, I would have loved to see that! But, it's too dark for kids.

I do wish Disney would just for once stop thinking of the children for once! They're not the only ones who watch their films. Besides kids today see much more darker films...It's like PG-13 films are the new PG! And rated-R is the new PG-13!

I feel as if I have to turn to Japan to see Animation for teens. Thank God for Miyazaki! I vow if I ever do become an animator I'll make films not only for children but, for adults and teens as well......

Zira said that in the deleted scene, and then lets go of the wall of the cliff, instead of swiping at Kiara's "offered"paw.

Heh heh...I would've punched her in the jaw

ANd Zira wanted to die. She wanted to be reunited(sp?) with Scar

That gave me shivers lol. I can see why it was cut out though like many people have already stated. But imagine the parents whining and crying to Disney about how that movie made their kid suicidal....

I've seen quite a few topics with this question.

'In Lion King 2, is it just me or is Zira smiling when she falls off the cliff?'

Yes! She is.. and I think I know why. Take a look at this clip I found on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4zS51lPWeg&NR

This was a cut scene from the orignal script! She acually commits suicide.

So.. what I thought is that they went with this scene.. and thought it wouldn't be good for the kids, switched it to her falling and never took the smile away.

I could be wrong.. but this is a great find!

Disney is a total weakling nowdays. The scene where the Beast threw Gaston off the cliff was more violent than Zira commiting suiside. Disney's got their head so stuck up their(well, never mind) about offending anyone that they can't even teach kids a lesson in their movies anymore. I think the Lion King 2 was one of their few good disney sequels; I give the movie 3 out of 5 stars, but it was made when disney was just starting to go bad.

I'm only nine (don't freak, I'm allowed on here) and I don't get scared quiet often, but when Zira said "No...... Never...." I swear it almost made me fall out of my seat! Man, that was a little to dark for a kids movie. But it still would have been better in it....

But I'm sure Disney doesn't want kids falling off their house on purpose either.

Thought it would be to dark for a kids movie? Now a days they always show something that is a bit dark in disney move's they really should've kept it

Yeah it's a little creepy, but some children dont even know what suicide is and would probaly just be a little freaked by Zira's voice when she says "No...never..." but heck...the first movie has murder...having Zira let herself fall is nothing compared to Scar killing Mufasa, or the hyena's killing Scar...
