101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure is a direct to video/DVD sequel released on January 21, 2003.  It follows the story of Patch, one of the original 15 puppies. Patch feels like he is in a “sea of spots” meaning he feels he isn’t unique or different than any of his other siblings. He wants to be one of a kind, like his T.V. hero, Thunderbolt.

The family was planning to move to the farm, and the night before the big moving day, Patch catches an add on the Television that says Thunderbolt is coming to London to find the perfect dog to be in an episode of his show. Knowing he would miss out on this great opportunity because of the move, Patch sleeps in the kitchen pantry that night. But the next morning, he wakes up to find that his family already left to the country without him.  So he set off for the auditions where Thunderbolt was, so he can finally be one of a kind, just like him.

Thunderbolt, after the auditions, hears from his friend and co-star, Lil’ lightning, that the auditions were really just a scam to replace him because he was a bad actor. Determined to keep his role and his fandom, he tries to become a hero in the real world, and not just on T.V. The problem was, Thunder isn’t a real hero; he’s just an actor, and forgets many of his fake stunts. When he meets Patch, he learns that he knows all the episodes by heart, therefore he can remind him of all the great stunts he did on the show. So he eventually became Thunder’s “Junior Deputy” because he knew the script. But Patch thinks that Thunder is real and all his stunts were real, and that all his knowledge of the show was only a test to get the Junior Deputy title and to be on the show with him.

Meanwhile, Cruella De Vil is planning to get back at Roger, Anita and the Dalmatians, and since Patch was still in London, it gives her the perfect plan to get the rest of the puppies too…And with a new partner along for the ride, an artist named Lars, she’ll be twice as hard to beat.
