Minions Limited Edition Metal Case Blu-Ray Combo | Tweet |
In the previous fan news for Despicable Me Source, I referred briefly to the various types of packaging used for the Minions Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo packs (and there are several), each featuring a slightly different arrangement of Bob, Kevin and Stuart, other minions, or just Bob, Stuart or Kevin by themselves with a quote from them. The variety of packaging, however, doesn't affect the contents, which are the same. The DVD package does not have this variety of designing, as far as I can tell.

However, as with so many other movie releases recently, Universal jumped into the trend of producing limited edition metal case packaging for their Blu-Ray disks (and the combo packs). In the case of Minions (no pun intended), the case is shaped like a minion and has Stuart's image on it (front and back). Stuart appears holding a daisy and wearing a tie-dye shirt, very typical of the setting of the large majority of the movie story (1968). The front is seen above. And, below, the back:

These things are usually sold with the purpose of becoming collectibles. I have a few from different movies, but since they are not usually in the traditional rectangular packaging (the metal case for the Jurassic World Blu-Ray combo pack being a classic example, as it is round), I tend to limit such purchases myself. Still, once an eye-catching or quirky one, like the Minions metal combo pack, comes out, I make an exception. XD

ROFL Yes, the expression is eeeevil. Just like a minion wants to be,
but rarely ever gets to be. As to the cover, I have only ever seen Stuart. But the individual Blu-Ray packs have varied covers, featuring either Kevin, Bob or Stuart. Or all three. |

That expression... It's one of those things that's capable of coming
alive in the middle of the night and murdering you while you sleep. XD
Were Kevin and Bob made into metal covers? |
