Story: Kenji was the first born in the litter of three, to akitas called Riki and Fuji a while before they had their second litter. Kenji was the only pup from his litter with tiger stripes, and thus grandfather Gohei chose him for the training to be a bear dog like his father Riki, and grandfather Shiro. At first this all sounded very cool and exciting for the little pup, to be a brave bear dog like his father and grandfather, and tried his best not to let Gohei down. But as he started to realize the harshness of the training, young Kenji changed his mind very quickly. He got beaten with a stick, he was forced to eat bear meat and wasn't even let to see his family. Finally Kenji decided he had just had enough, and that the weight on his shoulders was just too heavy to take, he realized he didn't have what takes for a great bear dog. So, the young dog snug away one night, never to be seen again and after a while of searching, his family came to the conclusion he had probably been killed by either a bear or other predators. Kenji secretly checked out on them from time to time, but when Fuji had her second litter, and Kenji's brother Gin was also selected for Gohei's training, he couldn't believe his eyes; His younger brother actually took all the beating and harsh training much better than him. This made Kenji furious, and he developed a huge grugde against Gin. He wanted nothing to do with him or any of his family ever again, and ran almost all the way to the mountains and crossed paths with an older german shepherd named Ivan. The two dogs fought, and after being defeated by the teenage dog, Ivan was impressed by Kenji's skills and decided to start training him into a real fighter, to help keep tresspassers away from his territory. But Kenji's arrogant nature certainly made it not easy, and to teach him a lesson, Ivan bit Kenji's left ear off. This was a valuable lesson, because now he started paying more attention and taking interest in different techniques. Soon, he had become a skilled and fierce fighter. But after a while, Kenji started realizing he could have potential to run a pack of his own, so with the help of his sensei and new trusty friend Ivan, he started gathering followers and swore he would one day face Gin, to determine which one of them were truly the stronger one.
