In a week where we were given new trailers for Kung Fu Panda 3 and Ice Age 5: Collision Course, an animated movie trailer that stands out from the other two has surfaced, and from one you probably haven’t heard of. From the studio that brought us The Lego Movie, Warner Bros. welcomes us to Storks.
Kelsey Grammer (Toy Story 2) and Andy Samberg (Hotel Transylvania) lend their voices as storks who, instead of following the folklore of delivering babies, deliver packages that are ordered online. That is until a mishap involving Hunter causes the Baby Making Machine to activate, and must do the tradition baby drop as a consequence.
Produced by Warner Animation Group, comedy filmmaker Nicolas Stroller (known for directing Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, and Neighbors) is helming the film’s writing and direction with veteran Pixar animator Doug Sweetland sharing the directing job with Stroller. Warner Bros. Pictures will deliver the movie to US theatres on September 23rd, 2016.

While movies involving babies don’t partially appeal to me, the trailer got me quiet intrigued by the modernised concept of the folklore. Plus the solid animation, nice designs on the storks, and strong voice work from Kelsey Grammer makes this seem like an appealing movie, and something I’m now looking forward to. I wish Warner Bros. the best with this.

Agreed on the seagull thing.  Of course, when you look at Kelsey
Grammer's character profile, as he initially walks into the scene, you
see a slightly longer neck than a seagull would have, which is fitting
for a stork. And we're talking this recent style of animation art in
CGI movies, where characters appear a bit blockier and stubbier than
in their real form (humans too...). |

You're right, he doesn't look like a stork at all. From the image I
thought it was a movie about seagulls too. |

This honestly looks hilarious My only real "issue" is that storks look too much like seagulls. Just my two cents tho. |

Okay, I won't lie...the trailer's got me hooked. Not because of all
that hullabaloo and doodly-squat (yes, I just used a word I remembered
hearing in a Clint Eastwood movie. ) about a different take on a
classic fairy tale and all that. But because the trailer is full of
the kind of snark and off-the-rails humor that marks a good animated
comedy. And having Kelsey Grammer (just a courteous FYI: please note
the spelling) voice a key character is a selling point for me.And I just like that "corporate promo" aspect of the trailer, with the gradually-ensuing chaos. Kelsey Grammer's portrayal of this stork reminds me, just a bit, of the classic Sam Eagle from the original Muppet Show. And that can only be a good thing. |

Anyway, this film personally doesn't interest me. It doesn't look to be a bad film, it just isn't my cup of tea.
