im really confused about deviantART. my main problem is finding and crating contests.

can someone explain how i can create a contest and find a contest?

You mean official contests? I'm not sure about that since I ignore all those.
As for member created contests they're very different than here. You'll have to look through peoples' journals and find one. There used to be a way where you could type in "contests" in the old search bar and select "journals" so they would give you a long list but they got rid of it after their update..
