Ice Age 5 gets one-week delay and confirmed cast | Tweet |
20th Century Fox has announced that the release date of Ice Age 5: Collision Course will be pushed back by a week from July 15 to July 22, 2016. This was done in response to Sony’s Ghostbusters reboot being moved forward to Ice Age 5’s original release date. So to avoid being in competition with the much-anticipated reboot, it would make sense to swap schedules. Ice Age 5’s new July 22, 2016 release date will now put it up against Guy Ritchie’s Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur.

There is also confirmation that Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer, and Wanda Sykes are set to voice their characters, although there’s no word on whether Josh Peck, Sean William Scott, or Jennifer Lopez will be returning. But most-surprising, Jay Leon (who previously acted in Ice Age 2: The Meltdown) will play an unspecified character in the fifth film. Does this mean we’ll see the comeback of Fast Tony?
