And it leads us to a few rather interesting facts. But first...
A brief info about the strips:
They were first published on october the 31th, in 1955. Which means that they are actually been made right after the release of the original film (released in june 22, 1955). Great artwork quality been provided by an artist Dick Moores.
While Ward Greene, one of the script writers of the animated film and a person who wrote the book "Lady and the Tramp" for Walt Disney, had been writing a scripts for a comic strips as well! Which means that those strips are as official as it can be, making LATT universe wider and brighter.
The creators of 2001 (released decades after the original) "Scamp's Adventures" are only slightly has to do anything with the original story, but they are, indeed, been inspired by some of the ideas and characters from original Scamp's stories. For example.

You can see this pooch, Chiffon, who is friends with Scamp. Her design and appearance does look a lot like Angel. Perhaps the creators of "Scamp's adventure" took Chiffon as an example for Angel, although their characteristics are quite different. Chiffon is a house dog in these comics, and Angel is a street dog.
Now, this famous "Scamp's sisters" argue... If you've looked through the comics already, you may noticed that in the original story, Scamp actually had only TWO sisters and ONE BROTHER, called Scooter.
