Personality: Jürgen is a difficult character. He can be very outgoing and sociable at times but only when he´s around the ones he knows and really trusts in. Around strangers he often acts cold and doesn´t really talk to them. He´d do anything to protect his friends and likes to make them happy. He's sometimes talkative but gets easily stressed out or emotional. Is calm and cool yet collective when angry. He is smooth-tongued, ingratiating, charming, polite, and courteous.

History: He was born on December 31, 1918, in Bücknitz, Brandenburg, Germany. His owner was a hunter who sometimes traveled out of the country. Jürgen got along relatively well with most of his siblings. When he was older, about 3, his owner took an ocean liner to the U.S. After the ship docked in New York, they stayed in town a couple days, then headed west. He stopped in the town of Fairchild, Missouri, where his aunt and uncle lived (they had moved there a couple years earlier). A couple days later, Jürgen's owner was shot and killed by a man who had fought in WW1, and who didn't like Germans. Jürgen was taken in by his deceased owner's aunt and uncle, but ran away a few days later because he couldn't take the pain of losing his owner. He lived on the streets by himself for about 1 1/2 years until he met Mama Bea, a beautiful collie/retiever mix. Jürgen had a crush on her instantly. The two introduced themselves, and tried to strike up a conversation, but neither one could understand the other. Bea's owners called her, so she said bye and and went inside. Jürgen continued on his way. They met again a few days later. They had another brief conversation, but Bea was called back again. The next time they met was a couple weeks later. It was raining, so Bea invited him into the house, keeping him out of the sight of her owners. Jürgen slept at the bottom of the stairs, while Bea slept in the upstairs hallway. He left when the rain stopped. A couple months later, while Bea and her owners were asleep, the oil stove exploded, and the house caught fire. Bea's owners woke up to the sound of Bea barking, alerting them to the smoke. They tried to escape, but soon passed out from smoke inhalation. Jürgen, a couple blocks away, smelled smoke and saw the fire. He ran as fast as he could. When he got to the fire, he realized it was the house in which Bea and her owners lived, so despite the flames, he rushed into the house and pulled Bea and her owners out one by one. The fire department soon arrived and extinguished the blaze. When Bea and her owners came to, Bea saw Jürgen standing right by her, nudging her, trying to wake her up. When Bea stood up, she looked back at the charred ruins of her home. She looked at her owners, then the firetrucks and firemen, and realized Jürgen had pulled her out of there, along with her owners. Jürgen told her (as best as he could with his near lack of English) that he had seen the fire and smelled the smoke from a couple blocks away, he had ran to it, found out it was Bea's owners' place, and told her the rest of what happened. Bea's owners saw Jürgen, and realized he pulled them out of their burning home. A few days later, Jürgen asked Bea if she would be his, and she happily agreed. Her owners took Jürgen in and kept him, and soon they bought a new house. Bea and Jürgen love each other more than anything. Bea and her owners are still thankful and grateful for Jürgen. If it weren't for him, they all would have died.
