I have heared so many stories aboutTaka's storie, and I'm sick of lots of them. There is only one storie that clearly makes reasonable since! It's the one where Ahadi swipes Taka acrost his face. This is the storie below if you don't know it. (this doesn't have all the detail) 

 ____________________________________________________________________________                                                                                                                       Taka and Mufasa where not only brothers but best pals before IT happend. One night Ahadi, their dad, told Mufasa he was going to become king because he was the oldest and strongest of the two. Mufasa told what had happened to his brother, and Taka was mad. He thought he should have been king. for the following days Taka asked his dad if he could be king, but his dad felt pestered. He yelled at Taka in anger and swiped him across his face. From that day untill he was older, he had been laughed at by lions who had once been his friend. They started calling him Scar. There was no way he could get Sarabi's heart now. She was all Mufasa's. And Taka's only fan left was Sarafina.

  That's the story. Anyway, here's the reasons it make so much since.  

1. Zira swipes Kovu on the face with anger, where do you think that came from?

2. In the first movie Scar says, "Life's not fair is it? You see I will, well I will never get to be king." When playing around with the mouse if you listin close enough. 

3. Also, in the first movie, Scar says, "You have no Idea." when Simba says "You're so weird" Seeing as to back in Scar's childhood, the other cubs probably thought of him weird. 

4. In the first movie, Zazu asks Scar why he won't challange Mufasa. Scar tells him in a fancy way that he's got the lion's share of 'as far as brains go' or smartness, but when it comes to staingth he's not so good. (look back at the first few lines of storie)

TAKA IS SCRATCHED BY A BUFFALO. It's even on youtube with a picture. He looks a little like covu when he's young, scar does. How does he get into a fight with that enormous buffalo anyway? Could it be taka anoyed him deppresed him made him angry, was horrible to him i don't know! I TOTTALY agree with greystripelover. Catchi has a point about the scar on taka's face. It's small and the buffalo WAS enormous but... ... it could have just been a little brush past his eye. Suprised he didn't lose hiss eye with the scar round it. Really am. Any-way, it might also have been that taka got his scar from the buffalo and it ended up to be a small scar because the buffalo wasabout to give taka a big scar but while taka was starting to get that scar i ran away and it ended as taka having a small scar. So theres some tips for you Catchi. There's never any information on Mufasa, Ahadi and Ura finding out. Just about when did taka start to want to be called scar? Maybe when he met the hyeans? Anyway, hope my tips have helped other members here. xx

Quite true, I don't agree with the book ethier, The only thing I don't agree with is Taka meaninglessly pestering Ahadi over something he can't change. I thought he said he was smart and that is not smart.

If Scar was attacked by a water buffalo, why did he just get a little scar on his eye? I mean, a water buffalo is EXSTREAMELY strong and Scar would even have been killed or got HUGE scars all over his body if he were attacked by an animal on that size... So i think it was his father, Ahadi, who gave him that scar. But... I haven't read the book, so...

IT IS TRUE!!!! taka got his scar from a water buffalo called boma in the six new adventures!!! i have the books so this is true!!! the books were published by disney but the rumers still fly around!!! doesnt anyone go buy books or go on wikipedia at least once about the damn subject?!?!?!?!? aLSO aHADI HAS A BROWN MANE!!!! hE IS TOO NICE AND WISE IN THE BOOKS TO GO HITTIN LITTLE LIONS!!!

Actually it's cleared up in the book Six New Adventures. Taka got his scar from a large water buffalo.

Kovufan4545 is right I wastched the Real Lion KIng FAmily tree on youtube and thats exzacly what happened The water buffalo called Bohma scratched Taka's face and thats how he got his scar and his nickname Scar, there is a picture and everything plus its in the book!

Similar thing happened in TLK: Six new adventures (Tale of two brothers), difference only was that Taka wanted to make Mufasa look as an idiot, to get his fathers attention, he failed and when Ahadi swiped him across his face and he got his scar. Then Taka wanted to be called Scar, so he wont forget what he did.
