Take a look at Vitani and her 'parents'. (I don't even think Scar is Vitani's real father)

Now look slowly again. Don't they look completely different? Zira kind of has Vitani's fur color, but besides that they look a bit like strangers, right? Well I have this crazy idea to share, so prepare yourself. It sounds REALLY nuts and I'm sorry, but I had to put it on here. First lets see the differences.

 1.Zira and Scar have totally different color eyes. (Zira: red, Scar:green, Vitani:blue) 2. Both 'parents' don't have freckles on the mouth like Vitani. 3. Vitani's chin is different. (Zira's comes out, Scar's goes everywhere & Vitani's goes inward)

Now for the ridiculous idea I had. Bear with me on this. Look at the next pictures.

Now I know you're going to think I'm crazy, but I think Vitani is Nala's kid and Zira cubnapped her. (You're thinking I'm nuts right now.) Well think about it. Vitani has blue eyes, Nala has blue eyes. Vitani's fur color is closer to Nala's than Zira's. Vitani's ears are wide and round like Nala and Simba's. She is closer to them than Zira and Scar. (even if Scar is not her father) I know it's a weird theory, but think about it.

Now here comes the problems. If you look again, Vitani does have Zira and Scar's nose, and if you look at the tip of Vitani's ears you can see a little black, just like Zira. I have no idea where she got those freckles from or her chin that curves inward. Also, around her eyes are dark brown, just like Zira's and Scar's.

So here is my thought, and I hope you liked it(No matter how crazy it may seem). What do you think about it?

I've heard people think Vitani was Nala's daughter but never Simbas so here is what I say to the new theroy: Vitani could not have been Simba's cub because as we know Simba was away when Vitani's possible and sensible pregnantcy time occured, therefore he was not her father. Now for Nala, Nala could not have been the mother because Zira didn't need a girl around, remember? So if Nala had Vitani and Zira found out it was a girl wouldn't the cub napping be cancelled?

I don't think it's crazy she's simba's cub. It's possible that is zira stole vitani and adopted her, she could have been too young to remember. That's why she thinks Ziras her mother.

Nala and Vitani are half sisters, sharing Sarafina as their mother. Vitani inherited her looks from Sarafina and Scar. Nala's mother is a mystery. Zira may have taken Vitani if Sarafina had run away out of disgust at having a cub with Scar. She couldn't bear to raise such a cub. Nala could have run away already when Vitani was born. Vitani could have either been to young to remember her real mother, or she knew all along and used it to taunt Nala.

Does any one ever pay attention to the fact that parental traits can skip generations? Vitani could just have easily have gotten those traits from zira's or scars parents!

A very good article! I once had a theory that Vitani would be Nala and Scar's daughter... But now I'm quite sure that she is Zira and Scar's. She may have inherited her blue eyes, pink nose and other strange things from her grandparents.

Heres the issue: There is no settled design for Vitani - the animators kept changing her, and if you look carefully you'll see that her face changes alot throughout the film.

I think that scar and zira vitani's parents. It seems like vitani really knows scar and zira. Besides nala fought vitani in TLK2. But she culd be brainwashed by zira.

These are very good thoughts and points, but I don't really think Disney would make a movie that complicated. Well it's not complicated but...................... *coughs* Why would Vitani say "Where's your pretty daughter Nala?" if Vitani was Nala's daughter? Like someone said I think Kovu and Vitani are twins, and Nuka is their older half-brother.

Then she wouldnt look like Nala's child. PS: If Nala is Vitani's mum then why would she fight her in TLK 2? Unless she'd been brainwashed...

this makes sence, but sadly i dont believe it XD (hard core LK fan) but it makes alot of sence, and so what about the nose, she could have inherited that off scar, seen as mufassa had a pridelander nose, scar was his brother and he had a different nose.

there good points but Vitani was ment to be Zira's cub as for Scar being her Sire that idk she's to close in age with Kovu for me, I always thought Zira had twins Kovu would still be last born from him emerging from Z's belly last . Her eye color could have devloped from anyone of her grand sire/dam (grand ma and pa). She resembles Simba and Nala because just like Zira she was born a pridelander their all decendent of the first lion/lioness to form the pride im sure all the lions look some what alike. Besides if you ask me aside form the "Bangs" Vatani looks just lke Zira with freckles and violet blue eyes and no bite in her ear. Her chin, is the same as Kovu's just not as large because he's female
