Personality: Genuinely friendly, happy and talkative, it doesn’t take a lot to become friends with Celeste because she generally enjoys the company of others, especially friends or family. Celeste is incredibly humorous and funny, and enjoys telling jokes despite her mature attitude. She has a kind heart, and will help anyone who needs it, even if it’s people she dislikes. However, despite her usually being friends with everyone around her, or trying to do so, there are people she simply cannot get on with, and often stays away from them. If she has any troubles of her own, she prefers to be left alone to deal with them by herself, however encouraging and comforting her friends may be. Usually, she will allow them to help her in small situations, but she does enjoy her own thinking time alone when they’re bigger problems, usually when the people around her might not understand. Celeste does try to understand her friends problems, because they usually confront her with them, she has grown effectively into this warm and open personality, in with which she is happy and lively, and almost tries to bond friendships with everyone around her.

Likes: Running, hunting, smiling, laughing, being free, a sense of warmth, smells of fresh morning air, cool breezes, chasing things, company of other lions, her friends, often enjoys being alone and spending time by herself if ever needed.

History: Celeste was born as a cub into a land where her parents’ were didn’t belong to a pride, therefore she, her sister and her parents were dangerously valuable to dangers out in the wild, being alone lions without the support of a pride. These dangers became the doors of the future, as it didn’t look the slightest bright for the small family who lived alone.

Celeste’s first few months of life went alright, her parents managing to cope with the hunting themselves, since the family were only a small one. Celeste, being adventurous, often wondered into territories she shouldn’t have.

She ran into the Pridelander’s territory, scared by the threatening of other animals around her. Wondering slowly to a stream, she was parched and in desperation of a drink after her run. However, when she got there, there was already someone taking their fill of the luscious water. A male lion cub was sat, wiping the drips of water away from his mouth, before sitting back up. He was a brown cub, with a dark brown mane and contrasting bright blue eyes. Celeste was cautious, but she didn’t fear that much. She tried her best to stealthily move past him without making any noise.

“Nice try,” a voice said behind her that was clearly his, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.”

“That was the most rubbish of my stealthy moves in my life so far,” answered Celeste, turning round to see the other cub standing a few metres away from her, “Who are you?”

“The name’s James,” the male cub replied, “What’s yours?”

“Celeste,” she answered.

“Aren’t you going to have a drink?” questioned James, “I’m not going to stop you.”

“Jeez, thanks there,” she smiled, “I’ve just been chased, all by myself, by the Outlanders pride.”

“Why, where’s your pride?” wondered James aloud.

“That’s the thing, I don’t belong to a pride, it’s just me, my sister and our parents. Nobody else.”

That’s when they realised somebody was coming closer as the bushes started to rustle.

“You better get out of here,” whispered James, “I’m part of the Pridelander’s pride; they’re coming to see where I am. If they find you, you’ll be on for another chase.”

“I’m pretty much up for it,” she whispered in reply, “But, you’re right.”

And with that, the young female cub dashed off into the distance, looking for her parents. There they were, standing waiting for her, as they had also managed to get away. Her father was still relaxed, but her mother (the lion) was very much out of breath.

They spent a few years doing the same thing, getting food, being hunted down by other prides, running away, getting food, being hunted down by other prides and so on. Celeste was a teen by now, and learning to hunt by herself. That’s when the shocking reality of how dangerous it was for them to be without a pride became clear.

Celeste was simply minding her own business after a successful hunt with the results of a Gazelle being brought back for dinner. However, her parents were having other problems, big ones that put the future of the family in danger. They had somewhat wondered to far into the Outlanders territory (it stretched a long way across the Savannah) after they had been in search for food.

The Outlanders had sensed their presence, and had attacked through an ambush technique. Celeste’s parents were now on the run, and Celeste had noticed the rocks moving beneath her feet.

“This can’t be good,” she mumbled, before turning and in utter shock saw her parents running from a huge pride of lions. Her mother couldn’t keep up with her father, and so was falling behind and more into the targets of the Outlander’s sights.

“Celeste run!!” yelled her father.

Celeste froze, before sprinting off into a different direction, Danielle following further behind her. “Celeste, slow down!” Danielle breathed.

“Come on, you can make it!” Celeste replied, trying her best to encourage her sister. Their only safety was the Pridelanders’s territory, and so had to run for cover there. Celeste’s last memories of her mother were she died, after being attacked by the Outlanders. Her father, being a loyal mate, tried his best to fend them off, but he was weaker than they were as his only strength was his speed ability. He hadn’t a chance. Celeste and her sister were alone in a territory unknown. They could only hope and pray there would be someone who would be so kind to allow them into the pride. Without warning, a lioness figure appeared above them.

“Are you lost?” she asked, looking down at Celeste.

“We’ve been chased by the Outlanders pride, we aren’t part of any pride and so had no protection,” answered Celeste.

“I’m Amy, would you like to be part of the Pridelanders?”

“You mean Simba’s Pride?” smiled Celeste, “We’d be honoured.”

Simba accepted them as they’d be very useful members and a great addition to his pride. Amy welcomed Celeste to the pride with a friendly nuzzle, and did the same to Danielle as she had been told to by Simba. Celeste recognised a familiar face in an instant, a dark male teen lion stood watching her arrival. “James?” wondered Celeste aloud.

“Celeste?” James questioned in return. The two lions greeted each other playfully.

“Excuse me?” a voice said from behind “Who are you?”

“Celeste, this is Emily, my girlfriend, Emily this is Celeste, a friend from when I was younger.”

“And she’s part of the Pride?” she scoffed.

“Hey, just a minute now, “she” has a name,” interrupted Celeste.

“Yeah, whatever, but just as an F.Y.I, I’m the prettiest lioness here, so get out of my sight. I have no contenders.”

And with that, she flipped her tail round and walked away.

“What’s her problem?”

“She get’s jealous, a lot,” said another lion from behind, “Every male has a crush on her, but she’s worried that might change while you’re here.”

Celeste is now proud member of the Pridelanders, and is becoming friends and learning about the pride, who to trust and who to not. She often surprises people in hunting, as with her speed, the pride are able to bring down faster animals than they usually would, and James has a speed contender now. She’s made lots of friends fast, but is still weary of Emily, and has a feeling a lot of the other lionesses are too.

Relation to The Lion King: Part of Simba's pride, and always goes out hunting with the lionesses to bring back meals.
