Personality: Imani is a very caring person by nature, she always helps anyone she can and refuses to give up on anyone. She is very motherly towards Dawn and is very protective of her. She hates fighting and will always try to resolve conflicts peacefully rather than fight but if she feels Dawn is being threatened or that she's in danger she will fight.

History: Imani was the result of a fling between Zira's sister and a rogue lion, Zira was afraid that other cubs (except her own) would threaten Kovu's claim to the throne and thus started to kill all the other Outsiders' cubs. Imani's mother fled with her to escape her sister' s murderous rampage and began her life as a rogue lion. Her mother met up with Imani's father and the family was happily reunited.

When Imani was a teenager, her mother became pregnant again and gave birth to her younger sister who was named Dawn (after the time of day she was born).  However, one day the family ran into a group of humans who were poachers. Her parents told her to flee with Dawn, which she did, but she heard her parents' roars of agony and knew that her parents had been killed.

She remained a rogue, wandering from territory to territory with her little sister. Then, one day, she and her sister bumped into Azazel. Imani  was hostile towards him at first but over time she grew to like him and she allowed Azazel to travel with her and Dawn.
