Personality: Kairo is a sweet, gentle girl at times but she is also stubbourn and refuses to give up on things. Once she has her mind set on something she never gives up, and will always try and find a way to get what she wants. Kairo has a soft spot for cubs, and would happily take in any ones she found lost. Kairo wants all cubs to be treated nicely and dreams of having a cub of her own one day. She will fight if necessesary or if cubs will be hurt if she doesn't but usually she won't put her claws. She is very loyal to her friends and can keep a secret, but is truthful and will almost always stand up for what is right.

History: Long before Kairo was born Simba found a cub in the pridelands that looked a lot like him and brought it back to Nala. They adopted the cub and named him Kopa because it didn't look like Nala was going to be able to have a cub. Kopa was next in line for the throne. But then Kiara was born. They couldn't strip Kopa of his title so they decided to betroth the two cubs. But Kopa was attacked by Zira and thought dead. Years later he came back and met Kiara. They got talking like brother and sister but then Simba told them that Kopa was adopted. After that the two began to fall in love and one night they mated. Then Kiara left Kovu, who became just another pride member, and was ready to become queen with Kopa as her king.

But then Kairo was born. Kiara was due to take the throne the day that Kairo was born and Kiara didn't feel ready to take throne. And although she knew that Kopa wasn't her brother, she wanted to keep it a secret. She was afrain that Kovu would find out and kill Kovu, or her cub. She didn't let anyone but Kopa, Simba and Nala near her until she became queen. Then she waited for a week to ask Rafiki to present her daughter. Kovu, of course, saw the cub and knew that she was Kopa's daughter. But he loved Kiara too much to try and hurt her. So instead he congratulated her on the new cub, who Kiara named Kairo.

As Kairo grew up she became a playful, bouncy cub, and could often be found bounding around in the savannah with her friends if she wasn't getting a bath from her mother.

Then she began to get lessons from her father. Kopa, as king, had to train her to be the next queen of the pridelands. Kairo enjoyed her lessons but sometimes it just got a tad bit boring. She longed to be out in the sunshine playing. Still, she had to be a queen, and she had no choice.

When she got to be a teenager, Kairo met and fell in love with a rouge lion. She began to meet up with him every day. She fell more and more in love with this lion until one day it all spilt out. He returned her feelings and they became mates, although they were so young.

One day Kairo was delighted yet frightened to discover that she was pregnant. She blurted out an apology to her parents, because she was only a teenager. Kiara told Kairo to tell her mate, but when she went to do that, she found him lying at the bottom of the gorge, lifeless. Heart-broken, Kairo cried for weeks and weeks at the loss of her mate. At least she would have a cub to remember him by.

But one day a rouge lion attacked her. Kairo screamed for help while she was fighting and finally Kovu saved her. But then later on when her cub came she saw that the cub was already dead. A stilborn. Kairo was devistated. Her mate had died, and her cub was dead before it was even born. It was so not fair! Why did all these lives had to be ripped away from her? She wanted all this torture to stop! Kairo swore that very day that she would never get a mate again. But she always had a soft spot for cubs.

As a young adult, Kairo met a young male called Anthony when she was out hunting. They became friends and met up every day. Kairo soon recognised it when she felt herself beginning to fall in love with her. She didn't want to, but she couldn't run from love forever, even if she swore that she would never get another mate.

One night when they were watching the stars Kairo was well aware that he was pressed against her. He suddenly turned to her and confessed that he loved her. Kairo was shocked and didn't know how to reply. But when Anthony began to walk away she realised how silly she was. She loved him and that's all that mattered. She just knew that this was meant to be, she felt it deep down in her heart. So she raced after him and called to him. "Wait, Anthony!" Kairo finally caught up with him. "Anthony, I love you, too!" She panted. Her new mate nuzzled her and Kairo nuzzled him back. For once in her life, she felt safe and complete
