Personality: Kendi is kind of a mix of his both parents. He's wild and reckless like his father, and likes to be the center of attention, but then again he's sweet and caring like his mother, and attempts to help others and make them feel better when they're upset. He is very eager to learn new things, and loves to explore the Pride Lands with his father. Kendi loves to make new friends, and it's pretty easy for him because he's so social, and accepts everyone for who they are. He has a good sense of justice, which he gets from his grandfather Mufasa, and he knows the difference between what's wrong and what's right. Kendi is very protective towards his sister Kiara, and sometimes he can be even a bit overprotetctive, when it comes to strange males.

History: Kendi was born with his two siblings, one brother and one sister, to Simba and Nala, the king and queen of the Pride Lands. He was the youngest of the litter, so the next king in line would have been his brother Kopa. But since Kopa got killed by an outlander Zira, Kendi became the new heritor to the throne. Kendi was sad about the loss of his only brother, and he felt he wasn't right for the throne, but Simba convinced him that he would make a good king someday, with his sister by his side. As time went on, Kendi and Kiara became adults and Kendi forgot all the stress he had earlier, and focused on being as good prince and future king as he possibly could be. One day, an outlander named Kovu joined the pride, and Kendi got very suspicious. He knew right from the start that there was something weird about this lion, and he got even more suspicious when Kiara started to get closer with him. Kendi then found out Kovu was the son of Zira, who had murdered his brother, and was shocked to know the truth. But he was even more shocked when he learned that Kiara had fallen in love with Kovu, and he rushed up to his sister to tell her the truth about her beloved Kovu. Kiara didn't believe him though, no matter how much he tried to tell her Kovu wasn't who claimed to be, and she told him Kovu could possibly not be a son of their brother's murderer. Kendi then went straight to Kovu, and told him to stay away from his sister or he wouldn't be responsible for the consuquenses. Kovu just laughed at him, and told him there was no way he could prove Kovu was an enemy. Kendi swore to him he would, no matter what it would take. One night, Kendi noticed Kovu sneaking away from Pride Rock. He knew he has something in mind, so he decided to follow him. Kendi sneaked up after Kovu, and hid behind a rock when Kovu went to meet Zira and her followers. Kendi listened very carefully to their conversation, and discovered Kovu's terrible secret: He was supposed to kill Simba and Kiara. Kendi was shocked, and was about head back to Pride Rock when he stepped onto a stick, and the cracking sound it made revealed him to the Outlanders. Zira told her followers to get him, because he knew too much, so Kendi had to run away as fast as he could. Kendi got up to a dead end, and he would've been done for, unless Kovu hadn't showed up and lead him to a secret short cut, where the outlanders wouldn't find him. Kendi was surprised that Kovu ahd helped him, and Kovu explained to him that he couldn't follow his mother's evil plan, for he had fallen in love with Kiara and cared for her and her family too much. Kendi now started to see Kovu in a whole new way, and realized he had been wrong about him, and then he decided to help Kovu stop Zira's evil plan from coming true.
