Personality: Bubbly and personable, and always willing to please. When she's younger, she always wants to impress everyone, conforming to everyone's standards, and not enjoying herself for who she really is. Gets pressured very easily, and often ends up upset because of how much stress she had. As she gets much older, she mellows out and accepts the fact that she can't please everyone, and it begins not to bother her as much anymore. She is a go-getter and loves to socialize, perhaps too much since she ends up getting in everyone's face.

History: Maoni fell out of her nest as a chicklet, left to die on the ground while her parents were out. Zazu was taking Adelar out to teach him a lesson about becoming the future majordomo when he saw Maoni crying out on the ground. Being a parent, Zazu wasn't going to let Maoni out on her own, and so he and Adelar took her back to Pride Rock. Altaria wasn't too taken with her at first since Maoni was not her chick and definitely not a hornbill, but it only took a day for her to admit that the chick was cute, and longer for her to finally admit that Maoni was her daughter, regardless of the breed difference.

Maoni grew close with her adopted brother and loved his company, but as she grew up, tension emerged between them. Altaria and Zazu were trying to get Adelar to accept that he was to be a future majordomo, something he wasn't too thrilled about; but when Maoni expressed interest in being in the same position, and actually LISTENING to what they had to say, Altaria and Zazu began to shower her with praise.

This made Adelar jealous, but determined to outshine his sister and prove that he was good enough. So their relationship soured, with Maoni being bewildered that Adelar revealed a competitve side to him. She continued to train underneath Zazu's eye, and Altaria raised her up to be a perfect little lady. It took a while, but Adelar eventually saw that he liked doing what he was doing, and apologized to Maoni, renewing their relationship.

As she got older, Maoni got adventurous. Adelar was going to take after her father anyways, so why stick around? She bade farewell to her parents and flew off. She didn't plan too far ahead, though, and ended up being grounded during a strong storm. Fortunately for her, she was founded by a lion-lioness pair, Michezo and Ashura, and they took her to their home, the Horizon pride, to heal her back to health. It took a few weeks, but Maoni's wing recovered, though it wasn't the same as it was before the storm. Maoni thought about moving on, but she grew close to the pair, and decided that she would act as majordomo to their pride.

She still misses her parents and brother, and thinks about visiting them - however, because of distance and her wing, she doesn't get the opportunity, not to mention her duty rests with the Horizon pride.
