Personality:

Though as royalty, she acts quite regal and smart, she has a more playful, kind side to her. This side shows itself when she's around those that she cares about - her mate or her children. She's easily flustered and is known to get easily excited and happy. She never hardly gives up a task and she's always on point in any conversation. She's complicated, but she lives a happy, care-free life.

History:

Long ago, the king of the Mlima Pride, known to many as the Eastern Ridge Pride for its location, Kito, choose a lioness named Sawa as his queen. The queen chose was not one that the pride was expecting, as she often made fun of the royals, rather than being quite loyal. Kito, however, saw this as an opportunity to get to know the sleek, skinny lioness better.

When the two eventually fell to desire and became lovers, they had two cubs. The first-born was Mwanga, while the second-born was Wepesi. Many feared that they would not survive, being it that they were born in the dry season, where food was scarce and water barely even found. A shaman named Rafiki, who hailed from the Pridelands, visited the pride after hearing the rumors that they may not survive, and stepped in to bring about medications to both sickly cubs. They gained strength slowly and eventually became strong enough to hold their own weight. Rafiki then left back for his own home, but the pride owed him their thanks.

Mwanga herself, in her cub-days enjoyed exploring, whilst her brother prefered staying indoors. On one of these explorations, she bumped into a lion named Kiti. He was much older than her, having a nearly full mane and even a few grave scars on his back paws. The lion was gentle, however, and they both enjoyed one another's company. But before they could even react, Mwanga's father rushed in, swooped his cub away, and warned the lion to leave, now. Kiti fled as fast as his paws could carry him back to his pride.

As time went by, Mwanga grew into a beautiful adult. Her father and mother had since fallen to illness and old age, respectively, and her brother had ran away to start his own life elsewhere. Thus, the pride was now in her paws. One fair day, she went out for a hunt, but by chance she came across a lion that looked ever so familiar to her - it was a now grown Kiti! The two gladly met back at the territory, where Kiti sadly said that he was now rogue. Mwanga excepted him into the pride, and they later married and had two cubs, one male and one female. The male was the eldest, named Mkali, who went on to find a pride elsewhere by the time he was grown, eventually coming across the Outlands, where he later married a lioness named Alama, who gave birth to three cubs - Kamili, Dotty, and Spotty. The other cub, Jua, went on to reign the Mlima with a rough start, but sure enough she suceeded Mwanga well. Mwanga passed on a rainy night, where some say that the stars shone the brightest.

Relation to The Lion King: Her son, Mkali, gives birth to a cub that later marries Nuka (Dotty), thus it makes Mwanga technically Dotty, Spotty, and another lioness's grandmother, whilst also being grandmother-in-law to Nuka. Also, its worth mentioning that she was nursed to health by a visiting Rafiki when she was younger.
