Personality: Warm, inviting, and loving. She is a social lioness, but also has a shy streak in her. Her biggest flaw is that she tends to overthink and overanalyze things. Because of the tragedies in her life, Nyako is prone to suffering depressive spurts here and there, and mainly has a paranoia fear of everyone leaving her, as evidenced by the loss of her entire family and Kayode. As such, she is very overbearing and overprotective of Zainabu..

History: Nyako lost her entire pride to a mysterious disease, one that she was spared from. The death of her family pushed her to her first despairing point, and she almost thought of trying to end her life so that she would be with them. Nearly starving to death, she came across two male lions who quickly took care of her. Soon Nyako found a reason to live again when she became friends with the lions Kayode and Jiro.

Being that they were all older, Kayode and Jiro began bickering over Nyako's affections, each wanting to outdo the other in an attempt to win the lioness over. For Nyako, however, this became an inner conflict, as she developed feelings for both of them. When she eventually decided on telling them that she wanted to be with Kayode, tragedy struck. Kayode fought and was killed by his sister, Zuri, who was insane and powerhungry. Discovering this, she and Jiro tailed Zuri back to Judas's pride, where a huge battle broke out once Zuri's treachery was revealed.

Ari killed Zuri, but peace did not come over the pride. Nyako and Jiro decided to stay with Judas's pride, and in their anguish Judas and Baako adopted Nyako into their lives. Nyako, in turn since she was suffering from Kayode's loss, welcomed the comfort that they, and Jiro provided. It took her a while to finally accept her budding love for Jiro because she was afraid he, like Kayode, would disappear, but eventually she acted on her feelings, and the two had Zainabu together.

Nyako was very paranoid about Zainabu, and kept her within sight whenever she could. Jiro was more leninent about where his daughter was since he trusted his father, and extended family.
