Personality: Rasul is very serious and he takes the weight of the world on his shoulders, though he doesn’t like it. He cares for others and wants nothing more than to be liked. Rasul is great at hiding things and he often doesn’t want anyone to know when something is upsetting him. His hurtful past didn’t break him so he still enjoys a good laugh with Aveanna and acts childish very often.

History: Rasul’s father was a rogue lion, who didn’t seem to belong anywhere. His mother lived in a pride but gladly left it all to be with Rasul’s father, her true love. Rasul was born soon after the two were married but darkness soon fell on their happy perfect world. Rasul’s mother died giving birth to her son. Rasul’s father was too hurt to even look at his son so Rasul was taken back to be cared for by the others of his mother’s pride until he was a young cub. Once old enough, Rasul was taken away by his father. Rasul’s father did not believe there was much else without his true love so he did not pay much attention to his only son. This gave Rasul a lot of freedom, meaning he got into a lot of trouble. He was often out on his own, looking for an adventure but it wasn’t too much fun alone. Rasul’s father became more distant and aloof, leaving Rasul even more alone. Soon, Rasul’s father began blaming his son for the death of his mate and badly abused Rasul.

When Rasul became a teenager, he thought he was old enough to take care of himself so he left his father. Rasul ran away from his home and only had a few forever scars that he would have to deal with later. Rasul wandered around for a while alone but unlike his father Rasul did not want to spend his life away from others. Just like his mother, Rasul wanted to join a pride but needed a place to start new. He stumbled upon the Pride Lands and Rasul was instantly captivated by its beauty. He quickly went to the king of the Pride but he was questioned of his past. Rasul refused to answer them, afraid of his past, but he begged them to let him live there. They decided that he could live in the Pride Lands, but was on constant watch. In order to gain more freedom, Rasul did things to help to earn their trust. Soon, Rasul was able to do much more in the Pride Lands and was feeling more welcomed.

It was Aveanna, daughter of Kovu and Nala, who changed his life. She was something new to him. Everything around her seemed better. Rasul knew it had to be love. He tried to act childish and goofy around her, so she would never find out, and for a while it worked. Aveanna was clueless of Rasul’s past until her father got in the way. Kovu was scared that Rasul would harm his daughter, and wanted nothing but him to leave the pride lands. Rasul tried to stand up for himself but it was hard to argue with Kovu. Rasul was banished from the Pride Lands but his love for Aveanna was too strong. They stayed with each other, and finally Rasul confessed his past to her only to find she was not perfect either. The two saw each other’s flaws and accepted them. They were in love and that is all that mattered.

The two fought against Kovu but, sadly, failed. Aveanna and Rasul ran away together to live in an unknown land and raised their cubs.
