Personality: He can be pretty sarcastic at times, but mainly he's a sweet guy. He holds family and friends above everything else, and cares greatly for them. He is willing to risk his own life for his family and friends, always making sure they're safe. Once you get past his tougher outer shell, you'll find that he's actually a pretty fun guy, up for playing and such. He can be brave at times, standing up for others who are getting picked on. He can, however, tend to jump into something without thinking first, resulting in some bad conflicts and him still not learning a lesson. He goes with his instincts rather than learned skills. He can be rather calm and serious at times, mainly having to do with his job in the pride.

History: Tama, as it later turned out, was actually older than Simba and Nala by a few months. When she was older, it became law to bear Scar's cubs, no matter who you were. Since she didn't want to have the same fate, Tama went out to find a rogue, and found Tanglemane. She later beared his cubs, and all of the lionesses believed it was Scar's doing. When another lioness of the pride gave birth to cubs that didn't look like Scar or her, Scar killed them, and cast out the lioness. When She gave birth, it was found that most of her cubs didn't look like her, so, she snuck out and gave them to Tanglemane, explaining the need for him to keep them. He took them in, having another lioness who had lost her cubs recently, raised them. Later, Tama became pregnant from another rogue, and had Vitani. Tai's father did his best to look after his offspring, but times were hard.

When Tai was only a few months old, his surrogate mother died after being trampled by rhinos on a hunt. Distraught, Tanglemane went for days without helping his cubs, but later snapped out of it and began to become a father. He knew he couldn't take care of them on his own, and deserved a pride. He went around with his kids, trying to find a pride willing to take them in. None of them were, since they needed to stay together, and were rogues. Finally, they reached the Pridelands, where Simba welcomed the cubs, but made Tanglemane leave. The cubs were finally reunited with their mother, who cared for them as they grew. The only cubs around when they were growing up were Kiara and Kopa, Simba and Nala's kids. They were later like siblings to the trio, and they hung out a lot. Kopa was supposed to become the king, and after a searcg for a lioness, finding no one, they chose Kipungu as his future mate, but kept it a secret. As they got older, Tai didn't like the life of being a regular lion like his younger brother Falcon, and sought to be something more. Zazu turned out to be the answer.

He became interested in how Zazu traveled from pride to pride, delivering news back and forth. Simba gave his blessing for him to train in that field, as he was born a rogue and therefore, news wouldn't be biased. Zazu began to train his lion apprentice, showing him where each pride resided. Zazu planned to have Tai visit nearer prides, like Kula and Chumvi's in the jungle, and Malka's. He later became a very fast runner, and delivered news for Simba and Nala. On one of his trips, he got disturbing news of Malka's Pride being attacked, and came to alert Simba. Afterwards, while he rested, he met a lioness by the name of Endzela. They became friends at first, and were often seen chatting. After a while, they became more than friends, and he developed a crush on her. Life seemed to be going well, except for the threat of the Outlanders, and the arrival of a rogue named Kovu. Since Kopa had decided to not become heir, and let Kiara take over, Kovu might jus become her mate to take over the Pridelands. Tai was very protective of his adopted sister, and always kept an eye on Kovu.
