This kind of things doesn't happen often, but it's always an honor to be contacted directly by a company!
I've recently been contacted by a company who works with Jeffrey Varab.
Jeffrey is one of the main animators of Balto, All Dogs Go To Heaven, Titan AE and has worked on many others, including Lady & The Tramp, Mulan, Brother Bear, The Fox and the Hound (notice how many have become Source sites here!!!)
They wish to let you know that Jeffrey has started a site on which he gives tutorials on "how to draw like the pros".
Hello, and thank you for visiting my website. I'm Jeffrey Varab, the host of the "Drawing with Jeffrey" series. Over the past 30 years I have had the good fortune to work on major theatrical releases for Disney, ILM, Steven Spielberg, and Don Bluth. During that time I've worked with some of the greatest talents in the industry on films like "The Fox and the Hound", "All Dogs go to Heaven", "Mulan", "Titan AE" and many others.
In recent years there has been a strong shift in the industry to 3D Animation, and while I share in that excitement, and the capabilities of that medium, I am also a firm believer in traditional 2D art and its place within the entertainment industry. It is the goal of this series to provide artists, both young and old, with the tools and techniques they need to build a strong foundation so they can create characters of cinematic quality for the next great television series or theatrical release.
Enter the "Drawing With Jeffrey" site : http://www.drawingwithjeffrey.com
The tutorials aren't free, but you may be interested nonetheless (there is a "how to draw Cats and Dogs" tutorial that I'm sure most of you would love to see!)
And that's not all! Jeffrey has also accepted to answer an interview. If you want to ask him questions, please post them on this topic on the forums, and I'll send them to him!

This has nothing to do with Jungle Book Source. You can suggest that
under Suggestions in the forums, not here. |
