I have seen and heard of conflicting dates for the official release of "The Lion King". I, personally, believe it was released on June 15, while other sites (including this one) have it as June 24. I understand that on June 15, it was a limited release, yet on June 24, it was country wide release. I just want to know if anyone has any answers, thanks!

Neither dates are wrong, but since June 15th was only a limited release, I wouldn't count it as the official release since only major cities within the US saw that release. For everyone else in the US, June 24th is the official release date.
