Personality: She is a highly active dog, and can be described as self-assured, confident, brave, and noble. Her personality is marked by a willingness to learn and an eagerness to have a purpose. She has a loyal nature and bonds well with others she knows. However, she can become over-protective of territory. She is not inclined to become immediate friends with strangers until she knows and trusts them. She is highly intelligent and obedient. She can sometimes be sarcastic, and can also be serious when she needs to be. Can also be hardheaded at times. She can be nice once she knows and trusts you. Xena greatly enjoys her job.

History: She was born in 1999 at a German shepherd breeder's in Rio de Janeiro, and was bought by a PMERJ (Polícia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro) officer at a year old. She was trained at the police station for about 2 years. Her first assignment came about three weeks later. A Banco do Brasil bank had just gotten held up, and the PMERJ arrived just as the robbers were exiting the bank. The men pulled out their guns and started shooting as they attempted to run from the police. Xena was set loose, she chased after them, and soon brought down all five of the criminals. They were arrested and promptly jailed. Xena had proven herself on her first job. A couple months later, she was called in when the PMERJ had surrounded a truck they suspected to be part of a gun trafficking ring. The driver was armed, and had wounded several of the officers. An officer soon shot out the passenger-side window, and Xena was set loose. She jumped in, and started biting the driver, who then got out of the truck, Xena still biting him. A few officers immediately grabbed him and tossed him into a police truck. Xena got shot at (not fatally; the bullet just grazed her) by the man before he was locked up. A couple more years went by, and she helped the PMERJ make several more arrests. Eventually, Xena will fall in love with one of her police dog friends. She'll decide if she wants to start a family later; she hasn't even thought about it.
