Hullo there!  Been down about all the inactivity on Animation Source lately?

Then I have some good news for you!  Over on Robin Hood Source, we've begun an effort at expanding and revamping existing material (or the lack thereof).  It all started with an original request by site boosters Windhowler and XPennydisneyloverx to help them update the existing official character pages, and to add ones for the remaining official characters which were never done.  For a while, nobody seemed very interested in helping, so I volunteered and, with the help of Mightybalto1925 (along with the approval of the staff in making me a site builder on Robin Hood Source), I was able to do some updating, cleaning up and completion of the official characters. You'll get to see, for instance, in several of the characters, information pertaining to their origins in the Robin Hood legends and ballads.  And each bio will go into greater detail about their personalities, accents, and connections to other characters, without being too wordy OR too brief.  And Mightybalto1925 updated the source banner with a nice new image!
 

This, of course, is a first step towards trying to generate new life into Robin Hood Source, and just to complete the work on the source which never has been completed.  We are certainly eager for help and, if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know here or via a PM.
 

Meanwhile, in the spirit of generating new life, I have also created a new contest (the first on Robin Hood Source, I'm proud to say), which can give you folks who like creating characters something possibly fun to do.  It asks you to complete Robin Hood's band of Merry Men (please see the contest page for details before you start doing anything), and I really hope you'll give it a try!  The winners will eventually be posted to a new fan news on Robin Hood Source!
 

I hope to soon be able to feature new fan works on the fan news for the source, as there haven't been any recent contributions in a while.  This is one of Disney's most beloved classic movies, and was one which legendary artist/animator/writer/director Don Bluth worked on (as an animator).  And it has a wonderful story.  If you haven't seen it yet, you really ought to!
