PERSONALITY

Black is a tough horse. He has a temper that he hardly ever loses; he tries to stay calm at all times. He loves to be up at night rather then the day. He is honest and reliable, and always on the look out for trouble. He protects thoughs he cares about and loves his adopted daughter Love and his mate Mapiya. When he first left the Cavalry he thought he would never find happiness but Mapiya proved him wrong.

HISTORY

     Black was born in the wild to two mustangs. He loved his parents very much but one day a group of humans attacked and killed his father and he never saw his mother again. After that he was taken to a human base where they had many horses, the Cavalry. He hated it there and was forced to stay in a large, cold, empty stall every night. He was always scared and often cried out in the night hoping his mother would come and find him, but she never came. Black came to find himself hating everyone and everything. When he became a yearling the men began training him. Due to his anger he never cooperated and the men were forced to use whips to control him. One day a buckskin stallion was brought to the cavalry, Spirit. He broke free and freed more then half the other horses, Black was one of them. When the gates were open he ran as fast as he could.  He saw Spirit and some other horses and humans but he didn’t stop to watch.  However the humans caught him and took him and Spirit to a village where many humans lived. They put Spirit and Black into different pastures and locked the gate. Black didn't sleep well like Spirit did; he walked around for hours angry with himself. Eventually he fell asleep and dreamed of being happy and free. When he woke up it was mid day and he was so confused. As he got to his feet he saw a group of horses playing around and laughing. He also saw Spirit watching them interestedly. The paint mare was among them. When they saw he was awake they nicked in greeting. Spirit nicked back but Black, who was still in a bad mood turned away. Black was feeling more alone then ever especially when Spirit got to go out everyday with the paint mare, Rain. This made him angry because he wanted to be free. Black made one friend a gray appaloosa mare named Mapiya. When he was finally released he had fallen in love with Mapiya and decided to stay with her. 

        A year or so later they adopted a orphen foal named Love and made her their own. They loved her very much and Black was very protective of her. Black had become one of the top guard horses for the village. He patroled in the morning and at night always on the watch for danger. When the Darknight herd attacks he fights them off that protects his family. He is even more over protecive when Love gets a boyfriends that Black doesn't really like. Eventually he is fine with it and they are all living peacefully on the village territory.

  RELATION TO SPIRIT

Black was raised in the Cavalry where he met Spirit. He escaped with Spirit and was taken to the Indian village where he meets Rain and is currently living.
