H I S T O R Y 

Hotah grew up and lived his whole life in the Lakota Village. He grew up being sort of an older brother figure to Rain and some of the other foals. He had become quite protective over the lot of them and was always considerate of their needs. Knowing that he would not be the future leader of the herd, he resigned himself to simply being just another stallion in the herd. He hadn't really woken up to the real value of his life until he met Macawi. She was extremely timid and distrusting towards him and the other horses in the herd. She eventually opened up to him and they grew very close. He grew attatched to her and her to him. Around the herd, everyone seemed to know that the two of them were halves of a single whole. It wasn't long before they were a family. Their foal was birthed healthy and so incredibly happy. He was taller than most other foals the were newly birthed so they named him Hanska, meaning "Tall". Around a year passed before the attack on the village happened, they had run into the forest to take refuge. It wasn't long before a wild fire started, separating them from their foal. Devastated, Hotah told Macawi he would return with their lost colt. After finding Hanska, his hoof had gotten trapped under a fallen tree. He instructed the colt to make it out of the fire and knew that he would never see his colt or mate again.

Relation to Spirit

Lived in the Lakota village his entire life. Knew Rain, Sierra, Strom and breifly met Spirit. Was present during the American Army's raid on the Lakota Village.
