History: Jenni was born in Mill Town. At the age of seven Jenni was given a puppy whom she named Benny. Then at the age of ten she was given a calf, Hannah.

Jenni used to take the calf to the high hills and there they would sit and watch the Cavalry recruits pass. Jen would point out proudly to Hannah, her father as he rode beside the Colonel, then she would tell the calf all about him.

When the calf grew up Jenni stopped taking it to the hills, instead she began milking it. When Jenni was sixteen, and when Jenni's mother would give her things to take to Sgt Adams, Jen would also take Hannah's milk.

 Jenni went by wagon to the Cavalry Fort with her brother, Paul Adams. She was not allowed in the Fort, instead her father would take the things she brought for him from the supply door (at the back of the Fort).

When her father was free from his work, Jenni and Sgt Adams would go out together on horseback. Sometimes her mother and brother would join them.

Once, Jen's brother caught a wild mare, Jenni wanted to keep it but her father said that they couldn't afford another horse, so the mare was taken to market and sold.

One Christmas, Jenni was given a mare (they could afford another horse now). But unluckily, Jenni only had the mare for seven months, she had to sell it to the Cavalry Fort for different reasons.

Jenni wishes now for a horse of her own, she is pining for one but is still a happy girl.

Jenni is very watchful over her little sister, Ivy.
