Personality: The stag is very elusive and likes to keep himself away from danger of  humans. He resides in the forest near one of the lakota tribes. He is Smart and fast on his feet. He can think on his toes during a fight or when running from enemies using his fast thought ideas to slow them down.

Info: Born Canyon to a mare named Slate Canyon grew up with out a father. Before the colt was even born his father was accidentally shot by a pioneer who though he was a deer. Canyons father had the same coat color and him. His mother being rightfully nervous around humans made it a point to stay with a herd until her son became an adult so that he had a chance at living.

As a colt Canyon became friends with a Buckskin colt his age who'd later become the stallion we all know ans love, Spirit. Canyon admired Spirts fearless nature and he became a role model for Canyon. As a colt Canyon was very apprehensive and shy but fast forward to 2 years old and he was a completely different horse. Strong,admirable and brave.

Canyon left Spirits herd shortly before Spirit left to investigate the wranglers fire. He made his home in the woods, sticking close to a deer herd to blend in as he was close to another herds territory and didn't want to cause trouble. This was short lived however when he was captured by some humans to help pull the train.

 For a week Canyon would snap and bite at and humand that came near him. He despised the way his fellow equines were being treated.Worked to death. He soon saw a fimiliar golden coat, It was Spirit.

Once spirit broke Cayons team free they ran for 3 days before being stopped by some Lakotas. the tribe took the heavy equipment off and kept them in a corral to treat wounds and to feed them as they healed. The Elder of the tribe told their cheif how he thought Canyon looked like a lone stag. A Young woman calmed the stallion just enough to put the paint around his eye. The paint symbol ment" good sight" So he could see danger and run from it. After being release Canyon decided to change his name to The Stag. He would from then on protect the Lakota tribe.
