Eye Colour: unknown, but probably brown discovered to be brown

Markings (Natural): few spot blanket markings, bay markings, dorsal stripe, white socks on fore feet and large snip on muzzle

Personality: usually of humble, cool, caring, clever and collected nature. Both his parents (Maisy and Oatis) tended to be cheeky on occasion - Toast inherited this characteristic trait.

Likes: annoying older stallions (particularly Lonan); doing things that make him feel free (like jumping ditches or small canyons, bucking, running really fast, playing in water); spending time with his friends and family; being with his father; meeting humans; being ridden

History: Toast's mother, Maisy, left the Panthera Herd temporarily to give birth to him - under a natural bridge. He was born with, and still has, an enormous fetlock covering half of his face. Nobody except Maisy ever saw his eyes, which were guessed to be brown. The first horse to see Toast after his parents did was Night Light, a Panthera Herd mare. Night Light spotted Maisy returning to the Panthera with Toast three days after he was born, and spread the news of his birth to the rest of the herd.

Toast entered his colt years interested in the lives of humans. When he wasn't spending time with his Panthera Herd pals, or friends Amadias and Esmour, Toast used to go looking for Jake, Bill and the other wranglers - if he managed to find them, depending on his mood he either observed their activities or 'played' with them by running off just before they could lasso him. The wranglers espied him often, usually perched high up on a cliff or precipice, standing casually with a rear hoof cocked.

Toast was still in his colt years, a strong, healthy horse, when he was finally caught by the wranglers. In truth, he submitted himself to them. The wranglers came across Toast playing with his friend Amadias, and gave chase, not expecting they would catch Toast, but perhaps nab Amadias. When Amadias managed to get away, the wranglers thought they would continue tagging the fleet-footed Toast for a bit of sport, and to their surprise they actually caught him - Toast suddenly stopped in his tracks, allowing the men to lasso him. He had decided to delve into the lives of humans, to satisfy his curiosity once and for all. Toast assumed the only way to go about it was to let himself be taken by the wranglers.

The wranglers sold Toast at a settlement called Mill Town (situated not two miles from the US cavalry fort where Spirit Stallion was taken). Sergeant Adams - a soldier working at the cavalry post - bought Toast for his daughter Jenni, who had been pining for a horse ever since her previous mare was sold due to financial difficulties. The arrival of Toast ended her longing through and through.

 Toast soon settled down living the domestic life. He speedily befriended Jenni's other pets, Hannah the cow and Benny the dog, and from the start was on friendly terms with his owner's family - Ivy, Jenni's younger sister, is Toast's favourite human being (after Jenni herself).

Once broken, Toast, with his clever and fairly passive temperament, became an ideal riding horse.

Relation to the SSOTC Universe: Often ran into (and away from) Bill, Jake and the wranglers; lived in the Panthera Herd, which is led by Spirit's son; his parents are both ex-Cavalry horses; is now owned by Jenni, daughter of Sergeant Adams
