Likes: Spirit (his uncle), his family, adventures

Dislikes: Dust in his eyes, bulling horses, cruel humans, Bronco arenas, stuffy stallions, insensitive foals

History: Valiant, son of Kiger son of Strider son of Madallion, was a wild born horse. Like his uncle, Spirit, he was curious about the ways of humans, determined, wild, and like his father, he was brave and loyal.

Valiant was allowed to wander around by himself, for his parents trusted him to look after himself and not go too near human settlements. Valiant enjoyed the times when his uncle Spirit would come and visit his father and family. Though, being a stallion, he usually felt a little uncomfortable around Spirit.

When Val was older, Kiger gave him some younger colts to look after for the day.

A stallion called Mastin was to help Valiant. Everything was going smoothy, and might have still, if only a small snow storm hadn't suddenly picked up. It was a small snow storm but it grew bigger and dangerous.

Mastin went mad and galloped away, leaving the young Valiant with the other colts.

Valiant and the colts were all quite far from the herd, so they very soon got lost in the snow. They traveled for miles and the storm kept raging on for seven days. Valiant saw that most of the young colts were tired, so he left them in the shelter of a cave and journeyed alone, to seek help.

He found a railway line, and made haste to cross it. But, blinded by the snow and the noise of the sudden train roaring in his ears, he did not made it to the other side. The train hit him hard and flung him aside. Then it screeched to a halt, the driver and his men jumped out and saw Valiant.

Thinking Valiant couldn't possibly had made it they turned to the train again, but Val whinnied.

" 'T can't be possible!" stammered the driver, as he stopped and turned.

Valiant had broken his humerus, thoracic vertebrae, patella, carpus and mandible but he was still alive.

"Incredible!" cried one of the men. "No horse could have survived that, unless he or she was the son or daughter of..."

"Of who?" asked the driver.

"Of The Kiger King, Sir...."

 ********

Some of the passengers who were in the train took photos of Valiant, hoping he was the son of the famous Kiger. A rich passenger called Rob Criver pointed out how much money they could make out of Valiant, but the driver would not allow it.

"Think about that when this horse is cured, Mr Criver," he said.

"Is there someone in this train who knows medical?"

One elderly man did know, he camped next to the horse and nursed Valiant. The train left the man supplies and two helpers (who volunteered to help out).

Three months and Valiant amazingly was on his feet and could run. But throughout the treatment he only let the elderly man touch him. Now that he was cured, Valiant wanted to go back to the colts. The storm had gone and it was very possible that they had survive. But before he could go back the rich passenger came in another train.

The elderly man and his volunteers went on there way home, sadly.
Rob Criver, had twenty men with him, they all surrounded Valiant and drove him into the train.

"Your worth more, my beauty," smiled Rob, through the train box at Valiant. "I found out who you are, you are the son of Kiger...."

Valiant hit at the door wildly.

************

"He is perfect for the Bronco," said Robery, when they came to a town.
Val was taken to the Bronco arena three weeks later, he didn't eat any human horse food through those weeks, he only drank water.
In the arena Valiant was surrounded by people who wanted to try to ride him.

"You know you are all mad," Rob said, smiling. "This horse is the wildest thing I ever saw in the whole of the U.S.A."

People were betting all over Valiant, twenty men tried to get on his back, in vain.

Sargent Adams, from The Colonel's

Fort was at the Bronco. He tried to get one Valiant's back twice, but like the others, he could not.

The second time Valiant bucked him off he declared (for some reason) that he would never treat a wild horse badly again.

Valiant was a real fighting soul, his heart pounded when he heard the sound of horses screaming, hooves hitting the ground, man crying or cheering and the pain when the dust rose and filled his eyes.

One man knew that Rob did not rightly own Valiant, he told the police and they gave the good man permission to keep Val as a prize fro his goodness. But the man did not want to keep Val.

He took Valiant to a wood. "I know where you belong, I have been watching you, and I know what you want, Boy."

More to come...

Which ever is fine with you. I have two character designs that I have yet to put on. One is a stallion and the other is a mare. You can chose if you would like. (:

He's stunning Paw! His colors are beautiful as well. Does he need a friend? I'd be happy to give this boy one. (:
