Character: Winter is adventerous, brave, and playful. She acts somewhat like a tomboy. However, she does have a flirty side when around attractive stallions (like most girls do lol) and can be quiet when she first meets someone new. However she is in no means shy, she just tends to keep to herself. Incredibly stubborn she rufuses to listen to others even when she knows it would be for the better. She's independent but becomes slightly edgy when her mate isn't around.

Relationships:

Imit- Winter's childhood friend, her mate, and her best friend Rain's brother. Winter has had a long complex story with Imit and their relationship has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Winter started out seeing him as just a close friend or brother but overtime it grew into something more. When Imit ran away from the Lakota tribe she left the life and home she knew since she was born and risked everything to find him. When they finally where reunited the two became a pair.

Sky- Winter's best friend and arch rival. The two are always battling to see who is better than the other. When Sky first arrived at the Lakota Tribe Winter couldn't stand her. She was stuck up and full of herself. Winter went out of her way to bug her but was suprised how imune and resilient she was to her teasing, even throwing combacks back at Winter herself. Sky soon gained Winter's respect and they became close friends, but that dosn't mean they don't argue on a daily basis. Sky is often jealous of Winter's mate, Imit, since she now spends majority of her time with him.

Rain- A close friend of Winter's growing up. The two where inseperable when they where younger but as they grew into adults and started families of their own their paths went seperate ways. Winter still missed her foalhood friend and hopes she is happy with her new mate and herd. Winter is often reminded of her since she is now mates with Rain's brother, Imit.

History

                     As her name suggests Winter was born very late in the year during a especially rough snowstorm. Her mother, River, was a indian horse belonging to the Lakota tribe. Her father was a rouge stallion who remained around the tribe for a few days when he met River but was chased off when he attacked and seriously wounded another one of the tribes horses. When Winter was born she was a weak filly and many thought she wouldn't make it to spring. But luck was on her side and she beat the odds  joining the other foals when the snow melted.

The first foal she met was a filly who was a few months older then her named Rain. The two became fast friends and enjoyed their days putting flowers in each other's mane's and teaseing the colts. Winter was still smaller and weaker then the other foals but tried her best to keep up with Rain when they went off exploring. She always had trouble keeping Rain's older brother Imit from trying to keep her from hurting herself. It was true she was an accident waiting to happen but she didn't want to admit it.

They grew quickly as foals do. Winter had exchanged her black coat for a pearly light grey and owed up to her name even more as she was now the same light grey color as the snow covered ground was when she was born. Imit didn't recognized her and made quite a few plays for her till he pushed it over the edge and she snapped at him. When he apologized to her she did accept it  Rain now spent much of her time with her human Little Creek. Winter didn't click with any human in the tribe and never gained a rider. Being one of the fastest horses in the tribe she was highly desired as a war mount but she didn't like the idea of being told what to do and often bucked her attempted rider off. Despite her not cooperating with riding lessons she was still welcomed among the tribe and loved the people there.

One day after a mission Rain and Little Creek didn't return for days. Winter was worried for her friend and became frantic, paceing back and forth and dissapearing for hours at a time to come back exaughsted and sweaty from running so much. Unexpectedly one night she heard the gate open to a holding pen and sprang up, expecting to find another scout trying to steal more horses from them. She was shocked when she saw it was indeed Rain and Little Creek along with a Buckskin stallion she'd never seen before.

Winter was glad to have her friend back but slowly watched Rain's heart drift towards this strange new stallion. It wasn't long before she was head of hooves for him and wasn't surprised when the two ran off together. This spurred her ideas of what else their was outside the tribe. No longer able to keep her curiosity to herself she decided to venture off on her own.
