G'day, Spirit Sourcian! Bancat (Uk) and I were in discussion today about the fan characters. She, Sofiel, and I all three concur that the communication between moderators and members is nearly non-existant, especially when it comes to fan characters.

Therefore, since many people post too little information (or not the right kind of information) on their character(s), she and I both agreed on a template for your convenience. Until it is added to the character creation page (here's to hoping!), please copy-paste the below 'form' when making your character.

In addition to all of that listed above, you can also add other tid-bits to make it a little more interesting. For example, the character's likes/dislikes, it's favorite thing to do, and so forth. We have also agreed that fursonas (a.k.a. 'Equisonas') are not allowed unless the connection to S:SotC is valid. If the character is related by "theme," it doesn't count. Just because it's a horse doesn't mean it's related. In that logic, since I'm a human I'm related to :ady Gaga, when I'm not biologically related.This is because -- since the character is an equestrian version of yourself and you are for sure not related to the movies -- it is impossible to relate the equisona to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

In addition, sparkle-horses (horses of unnatural colors -- such as green, hot pink, brick red, etc.) are not allowed. This is the same rule as the other animalistic sites' fan characters.

I would also like to pick up the "fan features" here on Spirit Source! If you know someone who creates exceptional artwork, fan images, character(s), and fan fictions send me a message! I will update my news bi-weekly (unless there is a rule change); this means that the featured person(s) are on the list for two weeks! 

For each section, one person may receive this "award" only once. So one person can be featured up to 9 times! However, the same person may not get the reward in one feature. (This meaning the one person cannot have more than one 'award' per feature.) Simply PM me if you have a suggestion with the following: 

- A link to the gallery(-ies) 
- A personalized quote. Why do you think this member is deserving of the award? 

And yes, you may nominate more than one person for awards! ;]
