The Fan Creations of the Month Are . . .

Written by Kirada :

First and foremost, I would like to remind members of the Fan Character Criteria, as we have several new Spirit Source members or just people who missed the news. The biography template is to help make things more uniform, as well as help members know what helps other members with leaning about the character they're viewing.

And now, on to the fan creations of the month!

Fan Art

Brielle is an up-and-coming Spirit Source artist -- with a vengeance. Among the "top favorites" list on the site, it's obvious as to why. Brielle has whimsicle pencil work with smooth lines and expressive eyes without venturing too deeply into the cartoonistic style of Spirit. And using realism/semi-realism to express animals' emotions is hard! We also can't forget her splendid anatomy.

Yu has been here for some time, and thus far has the most favorites on the site. But why is she so popular? Or why is she getting this feature? Well, Yu has fantastic styled art as well as realistic portraits. Let's not forget her humor! In jest, Yu has artwork that is both creative and recognizable, and her humor throws in a relaxing twist to her artwork. This artist is certainly not "all work and no play!"

Cowgirl645  is and artist that also deserves some recognition. If you have a look, this artist isn't afraid to post her scribbles with her more serious artwork. Cowgirl also shows great promise to, in her own time, become one of Spirit Source's most favored artists. Cowgirl's also taken great care to create Starlight, Spirit and Rain's foal -- who looks like them without being the two smashed together. Go Cowgirl!

Fan Images

Tweedbug does a fantastic job with creating clean, crispy images -- and free templates for other members. Aside from rendering an image itself, Tweedbug goes the extra mile to place different images and merge them into one, to add more horses (or take away) and add interaction with an all new background. And while maintaining neatness, what more could we ask for?

Tibb_wolf has always had graphics (icons/avatars, banners, etc.) for all of the sites. Why would Spirit Source be any different? Without making her images overrun with effects she takes a Spirit image and makes it into something astonishing and wonderful to look at. Especially with it being for site graphics!

Emi has taken quite some time in her renders, even making one of a youthful Esperanza as her first image (and her first-ever render). Emi's work is simple without overcomplicating itself with Photoshop effects or textures or sparkley animations. Simplicity is hard to find -- especially at its best.

Know a fan creation that should be featured? Send me a PM with the link to the nominee's gallery you'd like to nominate and they could be the next featured member!
