Like many great animated movies, this one clearly has a lot of heart, effort and creativity mixed into it.
Before this movie, I didn't really think much about horses and since I had seen it in theaters I became completely obsessed with them for months.
This movie gives a highly interesting look at horses and it probably one of the best stories about them since "Black Beauty."
The idea that the horses don't talk adds to the movie's charm, because of the horses' behavior and the animator's lovely work we're able to tell what they're thinking, even without the narration (Matt Damon didn't narrate everything Spirit thought and Rain didn't speak at all).
Fantastic traditional animation--great movement and facial expressions, excellent character designs, etc.--well-done and well-blended CGI, fantastic special effects and an amazing soundtrack are all combined to make this movie extremely powerful and beautiful.
