Disney DVD-R "Generation Collection"

Written by steet :

There is a chance we may get a TaleSpin Volume 3 DVD set! But for that, you need to READ this and show your support for TaleSpin!

Disney has begun recently a "DVD-on-demand" program, similar to the Warner Archives (I think)
Our partner "Open Vault Disney" has reached the person deciding the releases  :
"Yesterday, Open Vault Disney received a message from the guy at Disney that calls the shots on the Disney DVD-on-Demand titles. Of course, we were VERY happy to hear from him. It seems there were other, non-"Generations Collection" releases and we'll post about them soon, but for now, he wants to know which titles YOU the Disney fans want the most released next. I shared with him a few titles, but what do you want? Please comment below. Thanks! - Jason"
And after sending that person a first list,  he said :
"The first thing he stressed was that it is not just a simple matter of picking a title and releasing it. That does not mean that title you may want won’t get released, so much as that we all just need to be patient and see what comes next. This is merely a first step. Which goes into the next part, which is without mentioning specifics, he did say that all the titles I listed in my first e-mail (many are ones you have all listed in the thread below) have been talked about ending up on Disney DVD-on-Demand.
We hope this may mean that there will be some exciting release before this year is over. No idea what, but we have some high hopes that exciting times are coming.
So, I would ask that you keep listing what you want to see (I asked him to look at our Facebook and Twitter accounts to see what you guys are writing about that you want to see, so we are very hopeful he does in fact take a look) and make sure you tell your friends about us if you have not done so yet. Again, we have some momentum and we need to carry it further! Thanks everyone! - Jase"

So, you know what you have to do : go to the Open Vault Disney Facebook page and post a comment there, or the Open Vault Disney Twitter!

Wow, I'm so glad to see many of you have already reacted on Facebook :)

Mouse101 => There are already two DVD volumes available, you can buy them on Amazon for example :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ [...] _rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

(or check the left banner on *this* site!)

TheGroundedAviator => Yes, the TaleSpin pilot "Plunder & Lightning" uncut version would be great, because there are around 100 cuts in the "syndicated series" version and some are very important. (like Rebecca's song which was meant to show her kindness, despite her usual "angry business woman" side - and that cut has lead to many people not understand this character) Also, they could sell it as a "movie" so as to attract potential people who don't really want to get the whole series but are curious to discover/remember TaleSpin.

Might be worth asking them too put Plunder & Lightning uncut on DVD as well, what's too loose?
