Age: A year at most.

Place of Birth: Nome, Alaska.

Breed: Unknown mix.

Appearance: Raccoon-like, as observed by Toby when they first met. Image belongs to Kirada.

Parents: Birth parents unnamed and deceased. Adoptive parents Toby and Luna.

Siblings: By birth, implicitly numerous. Sammy, or Sam is the only one named. By adoption, Angel, Star (sisters), Caspar, Balthazar, Melchior (brothers).

Mate/Crush: Officially none, unofficially Gus (i.e. they're mates in 5rocks' fanfics and fanart, but the jury's still out in mine).

Children: None.

Other Relatives: Adoptive grandparents Coper and Taya (thus connecting her to Balto and Steele), as well as Rex and Terry. Also the Calvin family, in particular Eugene, her official "master." For other relatives, see Toby's list of siblings. Particularly attached to her uncle Pete, he being a fellow "ex-orphan" of sorts.

Connection to Balto: Balto's great-granddaughter through Luna. Also, was once involved n a rebellion among the street dogs against Chase, Balto's daughter, led by Groven, Steele's son.

Personality: Born in an unforgiving world to parents who taught her by example that authority equalled tyranny, Arrow was initially slow to trust anyone, and easily intimidated into doing the bidding of anyone bigger and stronger than she. It took a lot of work on Toby and Luna's parts to teach her what trust and love were, and she still suffers some scars of her tragic past.

With time and patience, she has learned to trust and bond to others, even occasionally trusting in a total stranger as she did when she met Pete the December that she learned that Toby and Luna would be having their own pups. She is now strong and responsible enough to fit in with her adopted family, and even to babysit her brothers and sisters for short periods of time. However, she prefers the company of humans, having suffered less at their hands through the years.

Talents: Streetwise, but fairly ordinary in every other sense.

Likes: People she can trust.

Dislikes: Backstabbers, baths.

As my character: I adopted Arrow from Kirada at a time shortly after I decided to have Luna be barren. People had been asking when Toby and Luna would have pups pretty much from the time they started dating, and while I always meant to do so, I felt obliged first of all to show that mating and direct progeny are not what family is all about, even for dogs. So I made Luna barren for a little while, in keeping with a long list of famous mothers who loved their children all the more for thinking they would never have them.

Arrow's own story was very much a redemption account, if you will. Unlike other characters such as, say, Pete, Arrow's salvation from her treacherous past was in no way the result of a self-improvement regimen. Instead, she was changed by the love shown to her undeservedly, and saved, as they say, by grace.
