Name: Tobias (Toby to everyone except his parents or Luna when they're mad at him).

Meaning: God is good.

Place of Birth: Nome, Alaska.

Age: About three or four years at the present.

Breed: Half bloodhound, half husky. Blusky for short.

Appearance: Draco's picture is so far the best I can put a name to. I have another I'm tempted to use simply because it can't be found on this site, but that will have to wait until I can remember the name of said artist.

Parents: Rex (a police bloodhound) and Terry (a former breeding husky).

Siblings: Bobby, Reggie (brothers), Terra, Maya, and Abbey (sisters), along with Pete and X number of other half-siblings on his mom's side.

Mate: Luna

Children: Arrow (adopted), Star, Angel (daughters), Caspar, Balthasar, and Melchior (sons).

Master: Charlie_Winters

Other Relatives: In-laws Copper and Taya. By extension he is thus related to both Balto and Steele.

Connection to Balto: A big fan of Balto from his puppyhood, Toby is now (as mentioned above) also Balto's grandson-in-law.

Personality: Optimistic and passionate about everything he does, Toby is always ready for something new. Ever since puppyhood, he has harbored an undying admiration for Balto, which bore a direct link to his penchant for getting into trouble on a regular basis. He's very open and cheerful, ready to be friends with anyone friendly. He has it in him to be a great leader if neccessary, although he often works effectively tackling problems with a small group or none at all.  Although he loves to explore, after several adventures into the wide world he much prefers to be a town dog and at least keep the chaos close to home.

Talents: Varied. Since puppyhood he has had a knack for escaping, usually to get into mischief. From that time forward he has trained under Kodi as a sled dog, filled in for his father as head of Nome's canine police, and played second fiddle to Luna in negotiations with a wolfpack. He also has a gift for tracking, inherited from his father, and is one of the few dogs to have fought a wolverine and survived.

Likes: Being with his family (canine or human), playing, hearing stories, and eating spaghetti.

Dislikes: Breed-based bigots (canine equivalent to racists), public speaking, and being alone for prolonged periods.

Other: Is on a first-name basis with the sled team and most of Nome's policedogs.

As My Character: I first came up with Toby in 2007 (I think) when I decided to take some dragon characters of mine and turn them into dogs, but some differences have developed. For one thing, Toby's dragon counterpart was so scrawny at birth that I often liken him to a C-section child kept in an incubator for his first month, and tended to be much more withdrawn than the pup turned out to be. Toby, in comparison, was outgoing and energetic to a fault right from the first readers hear of him, and has continued to go where no dragon could, from pulling a sled to becoming a beloved housedog.
