Species: 5/8 Wolf, 3/8 Siberian Husky
Siblings: Hotah, Qiviut, Shilla, BJ
Mate: Rigel

Personality: She’s sassy and spunky, and can be very excitable. She has a great love for adventure and loves to explore and try new things. She also has a pretty good sense of justice and is never afraid to stand up for what she believes is right. Her only problem is that she isn’t a huge fan of dogs (besides her family), though this changes once she meets Rigel. She can be a bit cold and hard to approach, and she also has a bit of a vindictive side. She has a tendency to complain about little things. She has a curious nature and often questions things.
Likes: The wild, nature, exploring, howling, hunting
Dislikes: Dogs (initially), basically anything to do with human civilization (initially), loudmouths, being pestered, failing at a task
History: Galena was the second child of Aleu and Yakone. Growing up, she was aware of her dog heritage, but pretty much rejected that side of her, sticking strictly to her wolf heritage. However, she did love her family on her mom’s side, despite them being mostly dog. Growing up, she developed an affinity for hunting, and proved to be the best hunter out of all her siblings. As a result, she was enlisted as one of the pack’s main hunters once she was of age.
One day, while Galena was out searching for prey, she noticed that the number of small game she could find was dwindling. There were less rabbits and rodents to hunt for, and sometimes she even found dead bodies of them that weren’t killed by any of the wolves in the pack. So, she set out to find who was taking their food. She was surprised to find that the culprit was a husky named Rigel; he was a hunting dog who killed small game for him and his owner to eat. Galena quickly told off this “bothersome dog” as she put it, but Aleu decided that it was okay to share the food with Rigel, who just wanted something to eat. Galena reluctantly obeyed her mother’s orders, and apologized to Rigel the next day. “I’ll forgive you,” Rigel replied, “on one condition.” He asked Galena to go hunting with him under the moonlight. Galena figured she may as well go hunting as she had nothing better to do, but she felt a little silly doing so with a domesticated dog. However, she realized that she and Rigel had a lot more in common than she thought, and soon the two of them were going on numerous hunting dates together.
As they got older, Galena and Rigel became mates and had two puppies…and were faced with a hard decision. Galena offered Rigel a place in Aleu’s pack, but Rigel wanted to stay with his owner, whom he was fiercely loyal to. Galena, meanwhile, would have gone closer to civilization where Rigel was, but didn’t want to endanger herself. So where did this leave their two puppies? Eventually, they came to a difficult but necessary conclusion: Galena would take their daughter and raise her among the wolves, while Rigel would take their son and raise him to be a hunting dog just like his father. So, the two siblings grew up apart, bringing difficulty and pain to their parents who both wished things could be different. But when the family reunited, they were filled with joy at finally being together.
