Personality: Kolt isn't your typical sass master, in fact he doesn't have much interest in talking, and would rather act before he spoke. He's an introvert, but likes a little time in the spotlight occasionally. He doesn't like to be around strangers often, and is usually never seen away from his twin brother, Kester. They cause most of the rucus around town by sneaking into the butcher shops at night. Aside from his mysteriously quiet, dominant nature, he's not afraid to defend himself and his friends, at any cost. Those trustworthy enough to get close to him have a guaranteed fiercely loyal companion. Kolten isn't very open, because trough childhood, Ashur would constantly harass him and tell him no one cared enough about him to listen to him, and in time Kolt took the hint, and kept his mouth shut. Jaxx is the only one Kolt is truly comfortable with, and wouldn't trade his company for another.

History:

As a child, Kolten was the odd one, mainly because of his huge paws, and his siblings preferred not to play with him, so he was often outed on most games. His twin brother, Kester wanted to bond with Kolten, but wasn't sure how to approach him, because of his dry and relentless impression, but Kester didn't have much of a problem getting to know Kolten, once he proved his good intentions. Ashur, their older brother got most of the attention and praise from the parents Kolten never cared to remember, and when adoption day came, Kester and Kolten were adopted together, delighting so. 

When they reached adolescence, they were trained alongside Balto, a dog they grew up hearing about. The twins found it hard to resist wanting to impress the hero, which ended miserably. When the time came for placement on a sled team, Kolten was disappointed when Kester was placed with a different musher than he. Kolten was to be a wheel dog, and he didn't know a single dog on his team. This discouraged him a bit because of his fear of his teammates hating him if he messed up, so he tried to keep his mind on the task at hand. A creme colored husky mix with dark markings was his partner, and Kolten found himself wanting to get to know him. He was bright and tried his hardest on the job, and in doing so, he earned Kolt's admiration. Much to his surprise, his big brother Ashur was also in training to be a racing dog, and was on the town hero's son Rondo's team. 

After a few months of training, he earned a permanent spot as a wheel dog beside Jaxx. The two had become extremely close, and were practically best friends, and Kolt loved his company. Being on separate teams, he didn't get to see Kester much except on nights he'd sleep in the Boiler room with the other dogs, but since meeting Jaxx, he spent most of his time with him, and he didn't think about family much after that. It wasn't long until Ashur started picking on Jaxx. Kolten didn't like this very much, seeing as Ashur was half  Jaxxon's size. A long night of sledding led to Jaxx and Ashur getting into a scuffle behind the meat shack, and Kolten arrived in time to break it up before it got bad. Jaxx received a few scars under his eye and a notched ear as a memory. 

By spring, Kolten had taken up residence with Jaxxon, and even slightly lost his interest in sledding. Kolten felt different about Jaxx, and wanted more than anything to be able to tell him how he felt, but knew he'd probably never stumble upon the chance to if sledding took up all his time. He began to alternate with Logan, another dog in town, in his position on his team to take breaks in between races, and was pleased when Jaxx did the same to spend time with him, concerned about his recent behavior. Kolten wasn't quite sure about himself, but he did know that Jaxx made him happy, and made him feel safe, despite how much smaller Jaxx was compared to him, and Kolten wanted him to know it, even if he didn't accept it. Kolten and Jaxx's relationship began then, and they have a fiercely loyal and unbreakable bond.

As far as family life for Kolten goes, he doesn't interact with them much, although he still enjoys having Kester around, and  his nephew Izaya, He doesn't care to see Ashur, and when he does, hes either getting his tail chewed out by Rondo or Robbie for mucking something up, Kolt and Jaxx spend most of their alone time on the beach by Balto's boat, and often enjoy the sounds of Boris' struggling to keep the boat clean with the bears running around. It took a bit of time, but Kolt managed to persuade Jaxx to meet Muk and Luk, even though he wasn't very fond of bears. Everything seemed at peace, for the time being.
