This bear attacks Aleu as she stepped out of the cave where she had just met Muru. Balto arrives to protect her daughter from the bear, but he is very strong and the two wolf-dogs find themselves stuck between him and the cliff. Aleu then looks into her eyes and sees the giant knowing it. She was then able to save themselves by jumping on a platform of lower stones.

This bear was actually an illusion Aniu to return Balto and Aleu on the right path toward the pack of Nava. It disappears when Balto and Aleu are gone.
