personality;; somewhat aloof, willow is quite the happy dog that can be a little skiddish around newcommers. her original position as a wheeler molded her into the hard working attitude that can kick in when the need arises. yes, this dog may use her disability to her advantage, skipping out on work to laze around, but she will be the one to come to your aid. she is a very food oriented animal that will scramble to her feet when it is offered, no matter what challenge is pushed in her face. willow can be desribed as selfish when it comes to meal and will not hesitate to munch down on any morsel left in her dish.
history;; willow was once the strong wheeler of an alaskan team, belonging to the group of dogs that rivaled steele's reign as "alaska's champion". a colorful cast of dogs were present in this group, ranging to generous to the fickle and narcissistic. her issues with eating made her a delicate choice for a sledding dog, most being expected to go for days on an empty tank. her strength and agileness secured her current spot on the B list nome team, making runs here and there with different tasks. some days they would tote mail across long distances, others just for training, but problably the most exciting had to be racing against the elites. willow's team climbed to the top of alaska's regionals, racing on packed snow, thin ice, and all sorts of treacherous environments. then, that one fateful day came, the last race of the season against the infamous steele.
everything was going wonderfully: he was behind, running in pillows of their kicked up snow. maybe they could finially beat his cheating ways that have stolen their wins year after year. the heinous gorge was up ahead, and each year, every memeber had to brace themselves for a hard hit from the devil. the killing blow came with a few nips to the heels, tripping each of the dogs up, each of them tumbling onto the hard pack ice. willow, seemed to suffer the most from this, her leg getting caught in a rope and contorting it in an odd way. limping along with the rest of the team, the dog was lead home to nome and retired, due to her injury that would effect her overall preformance. yes, it saddened her that she was replaced by a more popular husky, but she now enjoyed the more luxurious life of a house pet.
relation to Balto;; once on a team that rivaled steele's, currently lives a pet in nome, tends to help dipsy with her food smuggling
