What tools to you use?

Paint.NET (mostly), Photoshop CS5 (Backgrounds, effects), Bamboo Create Pen & Touch Tablet

Requests? They are very rare because they are so unfair.

NO, probably never again. Why? Because once upon a time, another member messaged me asking if I'd do his request. I explained to him that I don't like requests because they offer me no return or benefit. I offered to do a trade instead and his response? "No thanks. Trades aren't fun." Well how do you think I feel rendering your characters? I don't find requests espeically endearing. If I want to render your characters I will ask and do it as a gift to you.

Basically, for me a trade has to be on equal grounds. What I make for you must be equilivent to what you make for me in terms of time, effort, and detail. For example, if I make a badge or profile doll of one or two characters, I expect an item from you that you would consider to be of equal measure, such as a profile doll of my characters, or something simple that is mutual to the effort I put in my half.

An avatar for an avatar seems fair, doesn't it? If you want one of your character, I can do it, but I can also do a graphic style of official characters as requests!

As far as reference sheets go, I am open for you doing just a regular old "render" of one of my characters since I already have reference sheets for my own characters.

As far as renders go, the number of characters included must be similar. For example 1, just do one character for one character. For example 2, it's two characters for two characters. For example 3, since one of the two characters is not depicted well, you can choose to do either one or two characters in your half. For example 4, three for three. If you don't want to do two or three characters in a single image, you may split them up into different and more simple images.

Do you have any idols/inspirations?

Totally! I used to look up to a lot of artists here on Balto Source. I still look through their galleries even if some of them are long gone. Seeing their beautiful work always inspires me to create.
