Chris even LOOKS like James Hunt did back in those days! I think that
may have something to do with why he was chosen for the part. And
Daniel even bears a striking resemblance to 1970s Niki Lauda. |

To answer your question, the movie is Rush. Chris portrays the late
Formula 1 driver James Hunt. The film focuses on Hunt's rivalry with
Austrian driver Niki Lauda (played by one of Niki's countrymen, Daniel
Br�hl), with the bulk of the film showing their battle for the 1976 F1
Drivers' Championship. I saw it with my dad the day after it premiered
here in the US, and I was not disappointed by it at all. Ron Howard
directed it, and like many of his other works based on historical
events, this film is a masterpiece. I'm still peeved that it wasn't
nominated for Best Picture. Even with that, I highly recommend this
movie. |
