Agreed, she appears to accually BE a teen. Wow! I guess dogs DO have teen years...In the cartoons at least!

Last time I checked, cartoons and the real life have very little to almost no similarities whatsoever.

Yes, she does appear to be a teen, but she's over a year old when this does happen (Boris said so if you're unaware.) and the one year mark is when most dogs and wolves are considered adults so a dog or wolf's teen years would most likely be around the 9 to 12 month mark.

If you were going to turn her character into a human, I'd say that human would be around 18 years old, as in someone that's about to step into adulthood, but is still hanging on to many of their "teenage/kid" points of views and personalities.

As has been stated several times in the "Was Balto a teen?" thread, there are no teenage years for dogs. Aleu was closer to an adult. Was she an adult? No. Was she a pup? No. Was she a young adult? That's the closest thing for her age that we have, so yes.

This is the moment where this conversation might turn into an argument. I think we should ask the author to make a poll so we can vote, instead of killing each other over who's right or wrong

What? How would that start an argument? I was stating a fact.

Please don't be mad. I've seen this before. I was just saying, we need a poll instead of just replies. Yes, you we're stating a fact. But when facts begin fighting options-believing-that-they-are-facts it usually starts a cyber-war and leads to a topic being locked.(Like say if someone believed a Balto 4 was coming out but absolute facts disproved this belief, but the person was still reluctant and continued believing there would be a Balto 4) Don't think I'm pointing a finger at you for an argument starting, because it hasn't happened yet. But if it did, that's how it would start. And by the way, You're pulling this off topic.

Back on topic: We can never really tell for sure what Aleu' s age really is. Unless someone here could estimate Aleu's real age and make a figure. She's has that teen 'you can't control me' attitude so is still believe that, at this time, she's a young adult.

Its fair to say Aleu was young, and the possability of her being a teen is great.

In Wolf Quest, Boris states that Aleu is more than a year old. So, I would say she was about the equivalent of a 15 or 16 year old girl.

I'll add in my two cents... I believe that Aleu would be 15 or 16 in dog years.

Logic:

The first two years of a dog's life is the same as twnety one years to humans. It is only a myth that one dog year equals seven human years. Not really important, but an interesting fact, after the second year, each year is more equivilent to just four human years. I know its confusing, but science always is.

Anyways, going with the Boris quote "At more than a year old..." I am going to assume that she is around one and half years old. Do some math. 1 year = 10 1/2 human years. 1/2 year = around 5 or 5 1/2 human years. Conclusion: Alue is 15 or 16 in "dog years." Does that make everone happy now?

TheBaltoWolf - stop putting images in every single post you make. It's not necessary. And don't bump old topics for no reason. The last post here was made 2 years ago!

I'm locking this topic. it was said in the movie that Aleu is about 1 year old and there's no need to discuss about her age.
